Of course not. But, I fail to understand how anyone would expect Walker to not do the "compare and contrast" routine. This is 101 level Politics.

Yes, politics 101 for beginners. In the 301 and 401 classes, I teach how this theory of comparing and contrasting (sniping) at other Republicans is a HUGE TURN OFF and DOES NOT EVER LEAD to the White House. The last cycle, with Newt, is a clear and not even up for debate. When Newt complimented other Republicans, and went after the real enemy, he was winning and turn out and enthusiasm was high. When he "compared and contrasted" himself to Mitt, and vice versa, he got his ass whipped and turn out tanked. Yes, tanked. This is a big big turn off.

But you have to have the courage to learn it, to put down your 101 textbook and join the adult class.

“As usual he was thinking strictly about the immediate, personal, temporary and did not consider all the facts or the likely fall out.”

To Obama there is no fall out. The MSM takes care of that for him. Obama is about the glory without the blame.

Bergdahl wasn't the main point. Obama was determined to release the five Taliban bigshots as part of his plan to empty Guantanamo, and he thought that getting Bergdahl back would give him some cover and divert attention from the release of the terrorists.

The surprising thing is that the army did finally decide to charge Bergdahl...I expected to have Obama continue to delay or prevent that from happening. Of course he can always give Bergdahl a pardon on Jan. 19, 2017.

I will not be surprised if Obama empties Gitmo and hands the base back to Castro.

I respect your intelligence and generally find your posts worth reading. However you sure can be a condescending dickhead at times.

Confession: I’ve little tolerance for shallow thinking. No patience with it. No patience with being falsely accused. So to your charges, both of them: guilty.

I throw myself on the mercy of the court....

Walker always gets that little shot in - and it’s a shot at Cruz, Paul, Santorum, etc

Actually its a pretty good shot at Hillary Clinton as well. Surely you don't object to that do you?

I love a shot at Hillary, but let’s face it - Hillary is not running as a Senator - she’s running as a Clinton and as Secretary of State and as a woman. All thin, but not based on the Senate.

It’s like Jeb - he’s running as much as a Bush as he is running as a Governor. You gotta step back and look at the big picture, not just the literal.

Bottom line - The “Outside the Beltway” meme is going to be very powerful this cycle. The experience piece is also going to be right up front. This is reality, driven by the Current Occupant.

The fact that Cruz has some vulnerability and Walker has strength on these two aspects is a simple fact of the matter.

Sips Coffee Flavored Koolaide

You sir, are mistaking tenure for accomplishment. Not much of a surprise given your current vocation.

Perhaps you can provide the gentle readers some examples of the Conservative accomplishments authored by fellows Jeb Bush and Rick Perry (who've had much more time behind the "wheel") to bolster your argument.

Right now all I discern is partisan sniping.

Gulps Koolaid and heads off to work

Well, of course, having Bergdahl’s father standing in the Rose Garden and dedicating the White House to his filthy god was Obamugabe’s dream come true.

“...Obamugabe’s dream come true.”

For sure, “O’s” toes were curling up when that creep had the mic.

I suppose Walker’s comment could be taken as a slam at Cruz, but I am not seeing it that way. Time will tell.

I like Cruz the most at this point, but I like Walker, too.

Again, allow me to bring in some 301 and 401 concepts:

Cruz has tremendous outside the beltway cred - because he’s been fighting the beltway since he ran against Dewhurts in the primary - and kept it up while in the Senate. He is NOT OF Washington just because the job he’s held for a few years is in the Senate. We’re not talking Lindsey Graham or John McCain here.

The experience piece and current occupant theory was ridiculed as totally absurd by many, including Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin. For many reasons. Chief among them is the idea that the problem with Obama is NOT his experience, it’s his ideology.

Obama has not failed to get his agenda through because he didn’t have exec experience...he’s succeeded in destroying the country precisely because he has gotten it through.

If Cruz can do for conservative principles what Obama has done for tyranny, it would be one of the greatest Presidencies of all time. The Obama experience thing is just a shallow non starter.

I like em both. And not a slam, but a little mini snipe.

I discern lack of reading comprehension. You missed the point of the analogy. I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.

I can’t bear to leave you so confused. So against my better judgment, here goes:

The Perry Jeb analogy had nothing to do with conservative cred. Conservative cred was not the topic we were discussing. We were discussing executive cred - and in that narrow construct, Perry and Jeb have governed far bigger and far more complex states than Wisconsin, and done it for longer - much longer in Perry’s case.

No, they can’t match Walkers’ conservative cred. They obliterate his executive cred. But the exec thing is a non starter anyway, as Levin pointed out. And Rush. And others .
