“Ambassador the to UN is spot-on.”

However we need to move the UN to France or somewhere just not here in the U.S.A.!!!

Not comfortable with Rand Paul anywhere in this administration.

Yes, he would bring far too much freedom to the table.

Great list.

For this to happen, Walker will have to drop out. Cruz will have to gain more money, and more traction than Walker.

My biggest fear is two very good candidates poll the same, and Jeb (who normally can't win this) walks through the middle.

Look, I totally get it, everyone.
We’re caught up in a dream team building exercise.
However, in the interest of intellectual honesty, is it prudent to say we’d really want to outright abolish agencies that sprung up because of real serious issues, like terrible water, air pollution in cities, and waterways?
EPA has certainly gotten out of control.
So has OSHA, FCC, dept of Ed, HUD, etc.
But please be receptive to the reality that these agencies did / do serve a fundamental purpose of safeguarding public interest, when: They operate in a Reasonable cost benefit function.
The good old days of toxic Superfund sites, dead rivers, choking thick city smog, frequent industrial injuries and deaths, cars that got <15 mpg And were Not crash survivable, Fair credit standards, etc.
We may mostly agree that consumer protection quality of life standard of living today is better in some ways than the good old days without regulation and Penalties For Those Who Act Without Regard of Impacting Others Negatively.

My point is that the left will have a field day marginalizing conservatives and libertarians if we propose sweeping deregulation of everything.
I can hear them now killing our chances, by accusing us of eliminating labor rules (40 hr work week), dirty air & water, contaminated food and with unknown ingredients, etc.
Don’t flame.
I struggle with how society can best function with the lightest touch of governance, all the while assuring individual and public interests are not threatened by other’s negligence.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

I also like Rudy for AG - I don’t agree with him on social issues - but, dang, he knows his stuff and is fearless.

You don’t understand. The media would call him bad names if he did that. Remember Ken Starr or Newt Gingrich? Being in the GOP and getting things accomplished = character assassination. That is why they don’t actually do anything but talk.

You asked for thoughts......

Why is it that Obama doesn't care about reaching for the stars (depths) in his political ambitions?

"No, we can't nationalize the health insurance industry. People would freak out."

"No, we can't nationalize the banks. People would freak out."

"No, we can't legalize millions of illegals through Executive Order. People will freak out."

"No, we can't tell Christian businesses that they have to provide abortifatients. People will freak out."

"No, we can't cut the military to unsafe levels. People will freak out."

"No, we can't kick Christians out of the military for professing their faith. People will freak out."

In order to enact change you need to say what you want to do, why it should be done and then work tirelessly and unflinchingly to get it done. That is how the Democrats have been turning our country into a cesspool. The difference is that when our arguments are put up against theirs, ours always win. This is if the presented by someone who believes in them.

I would be o.k. with our official platform being to turn the EPA, FCC, OSHA, Dept. of ED, etc.... into Executive Advisory Departments. They can be tasked with conducting studies, writing reports and giving regulatory advice to the President, Congress, the States, local school boards, etc...but with no real power to enforce their findings.

Outstanding.

I’d eliminate the department of education on a federal level

'Executive Advisory Departments'

I agree, coupled with a statutory prohibition to congress against transferring any of their authority to an outside agency. Any law, rule, or regulation should be traceable to specific individuals who are answerable for their actions.

> Good job. If Alan West could not be VP, he would be an asset as Secretary of Defense. Not comfortable with Rand Paul anywhere in this administration. And I would abolish the Department of Energy, the Bureau of Land Management, the FCC and probably a whole lot more departments, bureaus, agencies and commissions. About the UN — I’d give up our membership and kick the UN out of this country.

Agree with your assessment a well.

Press Secretary: Rush Limbaugh

<><><><

OK, that’s funny.

The man spent 5 years of a press secretary’s salary for the entertainment (elton john) at his 4th wedding.

I don’t think he’s joing anyone’s administration.
