Neither of those situations are the case with Ted Cruz.
He has 10 months to get his message out before the primaries, and I think he will send the media critics running with their tails between their legs.

I kinda wish Dershowitz hadn’t been caught banging that 16 year old multiple times now.
The low information voters are a large percentage of the late night viewers. They also get their "news" from comedy central, another cesspool of dim indoctrination.
I think the Daily Show will still stay on the air. They’ll just get another jester.
Right about Palin - we all have learned since the Press annihilated her. We KNOW they will do this to Cruz. We need to help him - to get in front of e mocking to come.
Right now the comics think they’ve found a few good zingers on him: stupid (that cannot last) and against all immigration. All Cruz has to do is to give a speech where he talks exclusively about is our legal immigration system and what he proposes to make it better. Don’t even mention illegal immigration in the speech.
Make it a totally Pro Immigration speech. Get the poor all over the world excited. Mention that it isn’t fair to only take in the troubled people of nations who happen to be right next to us: there is more diversity if we give lots of places a chance. Etc.
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. What they don’t do is quit!
Maybe you know more than I, but Dershowitz threatened to sue. Maybe "enemies" of the administration get accused of these things. Similar has happened to Menendez but these guys aren't sitting in jail.
Reagan went through this stuff with the press as well. If it is available, one can check the radical cartoons from Rolling Stone back then. In the end, almost every Republican and surely any Republican with standards is going to be their target.
