A South Bay meeting held Friday by San Jose Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren is aimed at helping undocumented families avoid deportation. Robert Handa reports.

LEGAL immigrants should flood this meeting and shout out "WHAT in the LIVING HELL do you think you are doing??!! After what we went through legally for years and at great cost!? Arrange AT ONCE to have all of our fees and medical tests, etc. refunded due to this lack of application of US law in a uniform manner, with you as an elected officeholder in the lead of such an effort." .... and tip off the press in advance.

OR, somebody show up and speak only in Hungarian, and state they are also illegal (undocumented), and refuse to speak English and then have friend step in and MAKE A BIG LOUD STINK THAT ONLY SPANISH IS THE LANGUAGE IN ADDITION TO ENGLISH THE CONGRESSWOMAN IS CONDUCTING BUSINESS IN AND THEREFORE ***DISCRIMINATION****. Interesting. The Burger King I frequent all have Haitian employees. One, the manager, speaks acceptable English, but doesn't understand it too well. :-/

I find Spanish useful, especially when confronted by an English-speaking panhandler. When I respond in Spanish, they give me a pitying look as though I’m retarded and move on...

Lofgren is so stupid she wouldn't get the analogy.

Her district in San Jose is now overwhelmingly immigrant, and they aren't Norwegian like her.

Pretty soon they're gonna be over with voting for the Big Nurse Gringa and she'll be beaten by some guy with a mariachi band.

What she's doing is trying to hang on to her position by throwing down with them. But why keep La Gringa around when you can just elect one of your own?
