CNN/ORC Poll: Hillary Clinton Maintains Double-Digit Lead Over All Republican Hopefuls Surveyed

Email-gate may have dominated the headlines over the past few weeks, but evidently the scandal hasn’t trickled down to the grassroots level—at least not yet. And perhaps it never will. To wit, a newish CNN/ORC poll, which conducted head-to-head hypothetical matchups between Hillary Clinton and all the leading presumptive Republican hopefuls, is anything but positive news for the GOP. Though Jeb Bush (16 percent) leads the pack of Republicans, no candidate even comes close to defeating Hillary Clinton one-on-one (via Bill Kristol):

…none of the top candidates in this field gets within 10 points of Hillary Clinton in a series of hypothetical general election matchups.

Rand Paul comes closest, with 43% saying they'd be more likely to back him while 54% choose Clinton. The two candidates who currently top the GOP field, Bush and Walker, match up equally against Clinton, with each carrying 40% to her 55%. Huckabee gets 41% to Clinton's 55% and Carson has 40% to Clinton's 56%.

And yet, it is fairly remarkable that, despite all the bad press she's received over the past year, she's still favored to win the 2016 general election by a landslide, according to this poll.

Parting question: How is that even possible?

It isn't, it's manipulation by the MSM too discourage republican voters, nothing else.

... it's manipulation by the MSM ...

Indeed. We could probably craft a poll that would show Hillary losing to Mickey Mouse.

No, I think it is possible. The Hillary voters just don’t care and/or are too stupid to understand the implications of the whole email thing.

Meaningless name recognition. The campaign hasn’t started yet.

Another survey without Ted Cruz. Could the pollsters be trying to create the impression that he isn't viable?

Any poll should involve a short quiz that proves that those being polled have knowledge of all the candidate's credentials.

At this point, the poll is only measuring whose name is more recognized. I would bet a majority of those polled couldn’t name a single senator if you asked them.

if the American people are stupid enough to favor and elect Hillary we need to reevaluate how we choose our leadership here in America and who we allow to do the choosing . America can’t wait . The old processes are just about finished

The directions to the survey went probably like this:

"Say to the caller:

In the last election did you vote for the (a.) democrat or the (b.) republican?

If "yes" to (a.) then continue with the survey."

Eight Commandments of the Liberal Left

I
Thou shalt create an illusion of invulnerability shared by most members to foster excessive optimism and encourage extreme risks taking

II
Thou shall not allow any member to question the group's inherent morality, instead members shall be encouraged to ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions

III
Thou shalt promote collective efforts to rationalize in order to discount warnings, or other information that might lead members to reconsider their assumptions before they recommit themselves to their assumptions

IV
Thou shalt reinforce stereotyped views of enemy leaders as too evil to warrant genuine attempts to negotiate, or as too weak and stupid to counter whatever risky attempts are made to defeat their purpose

V
Thou shalt self-censor any deviation from the apparent group consensus, inclining each member to minimize the importance of their doubts and counterarguments

VI
Thou shalt create and maintain a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgement conforming to the majority view

VII
Thou shalt apply direct pressure on any member who expresses strong arguments against any of the group's stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, making clear that this type of dissent is contrary to what is expected of all loyal members

VIII
Thou shalt appoint mind guards to protect the group from adverse information that might shatter their shared complacency about the effectiveness and morality of their decisions

The radical left knows that a strong, conservative president will set the commie/socialist onslaught back quite a ways -— CNN, and their ilk, will say ANYTHING to prevent that. Expect much more spin, lies, fabricated history, pre-destined history, character smears, etc. over the next two years.

I hope she does run. I also hope that someone has the guts to ask her about her involvement in the deaths of Vince Foster and Ron Brown, does she really mean she doesn’t give a damn about what happened in Benghazi, that not one private email concerned her work at the State Dept. The downside is the MSM is a bunch of cowards.

It’s stupid because they list 5 candidates right off who are all within the margin of error with each other.
They are not all within 3 points of one another. Let the idiot commentators make of it what they wish but is absolute nonsense.

I disagree.

Obama won his second term (+4 points vs Romney) with $4 gasoline, 8% unemployment (13% actual), trillion dollar deficits, surging food prices, and totally failed foreign policy (Benghazi).

By those numbers, these are the “good times” so it’s not difficult at all to see Hillary doing better.
