California Governor Jerry Brown: Ted Cruz 'Unfit to Be Running' for President
NBC News ^ | 03/22/2015

Posted on 03/22/2015 9:11:05 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

California Gov. Jerry Brown said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz's position on climate change makes him "absolutely unfit to be running for office."

Responding to comments made by Cruz on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Democratic Governor Brown said of Cruz, "That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data. It's shocking and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office."

A long-time environmentalist, Brown is dealing with a severe drought in California. He recently announced a $1 billion aid package to help affected residents and prepare for flooding

Brown said the drought being experienced in California could be traced to the buildup of carbon from coal and other sources, and that leaders need to take measures to prevent dire consequences.

"This is a serious matter we're experiencing in California, as kind of a foretaste. But there is no doubt that into the future, we're going to have more problems," he said.

I am a fourth generation Californian, a conservative,
and I deserve to have Brown as governor at about the same
level as you deserve to have Obama as president.

"No better testament to the true fitness of Ted Cruz for POTUS than the sneering of Governor Moonbeam."

Yup- call this an endorsement of sorts :-)

Get ready for CDS (Cruz Derangement Syndrome) to kick in full force now.

A druggy brain-fried libtard who has pushed California over the cliff into the sea would open his fungus-filled mouth to criticize a man who is eminently qualified to lead our nation out of the morass of libtardity back into greatness? Anyone who pays the slightest bit of attention to ANYTHING Jerry Jerktard says is the type of person who listens outside of bathroom doors for sounds of flatulence.

Coming from Jerry Brown, that can be taken as a compliment to Ted Cruz.

Did Ted’s former law professor Alan Dershoewiz said that Ted was finest student he ever taught you had google it it in long time ago interview somebody interview his professor

Yes, he did, with the caveat that he doesn't share Cruz's political views.

It think Ted came out on the top of his class, and actually wrote for the college law review, unlike the fake @$$-resident we have now.

Climate change carved the finger lakes. We live on a planet with constantly changing climate. Whatever happened to cleaning up pollution for the sake of making a cleaner planet?

Jerry Brown is against him. Well, I wish he had spoken up before a had my tagline constructed some months back. I wonder how much it’s going to cost me have the tagline removed now. If Jerry says Cruz is unfit, well, by golly, we conservatives must listen.

Re the screen grabs: Looks like Chuckie and Jerry are boring each other to sleep.

I was watching Fox and some left wing lady said that she heard a prominent Texas Republican called Cruz (paraphrasing), “a more obnoxious version of Obama with less experience.”

So if true I wonder who would say something like that.......Karl.

She then went on to say that she, as a Democrat strategist I guess, is not afraid of Cruz because he represents a small, vocal part of the GOP and not the country at large.

Which really means of course they are worried about him and are praying for Jeb to get the nod so O’Malley doesn't look like the next Dukaksis.

He announces, he gets $$ from me.

Cruz it or lose it.

“In the tradition of Eisenhower”? Huh? I don’t remember his using such a slogan. What would be the connection between Brown and Ike?

Wasn’t Redford’s character in the 1972 movie “The Candidate” a thinly-disguised Moonbeam?

That is certainly possible, according to the Huffington Post. Jerry Brown wasn't yet governor when the movie came out, but he already was California's secretary of state, and the screenwriter knew him when they were both on the Eugene McCarthy campaign. Other possible models: John Tunney, John Lindsay, one Kennedy or another.

"California Governor Jerry Brown: Ted Cruz 'Unfit to Be Running' for President"

Far too many California occupants are unfit to be voting in elections.
