Oh, BTW. Christians support American Jews. All of them. Even if they are too damn ignorant, brainwashed, politically correct, communist loving, socialist etc. etc. Christian’s, believing Christians anyway, believe all people are flawed. And pray for all God’s people. And in the end will be persecuted for supporting Jews. As, it is pretty apparent, are being persecuted, derided, BOYCOTTED, and just plain told to turn them loose because the Nation of Israel is just too much trouble and the cause of all the worlds problems.

Well, guess what? I’m not cutting The Jew’s loose. I believe my Bible and I believe that so-called Christian’s who turn away from the Jewish people are doomed to Hell. And I don’t want to go to hell. So I’ll just keep on supporting them.

If that’s o.k. with you.

True, the Orthodox Jews tend to be more conservative. I was in the Young Republicans in Rockland in the 80’s, and Pres Reagan had very strong support among the Hasidim. I remember fondly the night before the Election Day 1980 tearing up the streets in my 68 Charger putting up Reagan posters all over the place, the ones we put up along Maple Av in Monsey and rt45 in New Square had his name printed in Hebrew (I should’ve saved a couple of them, gotta be collectables today.) Other than falling for the old “you know, I do have some Jewish ancestry in MY family” routine Hilary pulled while campaigning for the Senate, the days that the dems can take the Jewish vote for granted are coming to an end, though I wonder if they really give a s*** given the way many of them disrespected Bibi.

Can you give me some real examples I could credibly show the Jewish community ?

Nope, these CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION are not supporting the American Jews, because these American Jews, by in large, anti-Israel. They consider the Israeli Jews as interlopers, in the Middle East.

If this thread, sans my comments perhaps, were printed in a newspaper like the Jewish Week, American Jews would probably get the idea that the people behind the anonymous IDs not only don't love them, but, in truth, despise them, largely for political or religious reasons.

I'm reminded of the husband who regularly abused his wife but professed his love for her in that he claimed he would protect her should anyone else try to abuse her. In his mind, he thinks that is love. In her mind, not so much.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

We both know that is not true. There are people who are not entitled to their opinion on FR, for example. Why pretend they are ? We know they are not.

So, you are saying to disagree with them is to demonize them?

It need not be that way, but often is. One need but peruse the adjectives and inflammatory comments in this thread to see. Start at post 2.

And, as every one who has an opinion, in Israel anyway, everyone who is of age serves in the IDF. So, I guess their opinions are about as good as anyone else. And no better. Or does somehow serving in the IDF make your opinion better that someone else?

If someone is a military veteran, they have demonstrably earned a right to their political opinion, even when I vehemently oppose it. They served. The others, not so much.

Does it? And if it does...and it sounds like to me you think it does...then why don’t we take a little poll? And whatever IDF veterans poll, then all Jews will have to follow? Well, that just sounds stupid then, doesn’t it?

I do think veterans' opinions have more moral weight. Perhaps I'm just biased.

  1. False premise in your question
  2. False premise in your question

About seven-in-ten American Jews (69%) say they are emotionally very attached (30%) or somewhat attached (39%) to Israel. These findings closely resemble results from the last National Jewish Population Survey, conducted in 2000-2001. In that survey, roughly seven-in-ten Jews said they felt very (32%) or somewhat (37%) emotionally attached to Israel.

Jews by religion feel substantially more attached to Israel than Jews of no religion. Fully three-quarters (76%) of Jews by religion say they are very or somewhat emotionally attached to the Jewish state, compared with less than half of Jews of no religion (45%).

Solid majorities of Orthodox (91%), Reform (71%) and Conservative Jews (88%) say they feel at least somewhat attached to Israel, as do 48% of Jews with no denominational affiliation. Orthodox Jews are more apt than members of other denominations to say they feel very emotionally attached to Israel. This is due to the deep attachment to Israel felt by Modern Orthodox Jews, 77% of whom say they feel very attached to the Jewish state.

Attachment to Israel is considerably more prevalent among American Jews 50 and older than among Jews under age 50, although majorities across all age groups say they are at least somewhat emotionally attached to the Jewish state. Roughly eight-in-ten American Jews 65 and older (79%) say they are attached to Israel, as do 75% of those ages 50-64. By comparison, 60% of those ages 18-29 and 61% of those ages 30-49 say they feel very or somewhat attached to the Jewish state.

Like the old saying; FIGURES CAN LIE, AND LIARS CAN FIGURE. The whole world realizes that OBAMA and the present democratic party are ANTI-ISRAEL. Yet 70% of American Jews continously vote DEMOCRAT. The aim of this administration is the total destruction of ISRAEL. Now, go do the math again.
