A poll?

Pollster: Mr. Kehoe how many guns do you have in your household?

Kehoe: None. I had a tragic boating accident in the Gulf the other day.

5.56mm

“According to the latest General Social Survey”

General Social Survey staff includes folks from Harvard, UC Berkley and the national opinion center in Chicago........that might explain it.

In their defense. If you called me on the phone and asked me how many guns I have, I would say “none” and tell you about my tragic boating accident.

the federal government knows better but reports like this makes it appear that the gov is succeeding in their firearms control efforts. BS meter tacked out.

I would have no trouble admitting I own guns. IF I owned guns. But I no longer own any guns.

For you see, in early November, 2008, I lost every single gun I owned in a bizarre boating accident on the deepest part of the Chesapeake Bay. Every one of them was lost overboard, with no chance of recovery.

SHOULD I have taken all of my guns with me for a simple fishing trip? No. Definitely not.

SHOULD I have been in that part of the Bay, at that time of night, in an overloaded john-boat, during a winter squall, with no radio and no life jacket? No. No I should not have been.

But what's done is done. What can I say? People make mistakes.

According to the latest General Social Survey, 32% of Americans either own a firearm themselves or live with someone who does, and are foolish enough to admit it to anonymous others over the government-monitored phone.

“Gun Ownership at Lowest Level”

My ACME Catalogue BS meter is pegged, and the alarm is louder than it’s ever been.

Those who publish the story and or conducted the poll are about as naïve as they can be.

The majority of gun owners are very cynical when it comes to the gubbamint, MSM and blind polls.

My question, what is the margin of error? 40%?

Wonder how many Russian and Chinese hackers are now selling lists of gun free homes?

Just don’t answer surveys where your identity or home can be identified.

If you called me on the phone and asked me how many guns I have, I would say “none”...of your business.

Small edit.

Someday when the lakes dry up there will be a huge pile found.

Anyone ever ask this household, “our only old singleshot was lost in a boating accident”.

From 2011 - 2012 the manufacturers couldn’t keep up with the demand. I had to wait several months to purchase a particular .45 Sub Compact.

This article is pure BS!
