It's little wonder that a professional career with the State Department is the number one goal of government-minded graduates from the ivied east coast commie universities. My cousin was University of Chicago, a seething cauldron of marxism since its founding. (The U of C intellectual and neighborhood environs were the stamping grounds of the marxist Obama in his "community organizer" days).
Most State Dept. careerists have viewed the U.S. as "imperialistic" and "filthy capitalists" (which includes Jews) for well over a half-century...and it continues to this day.
