Why we'll never bake your fake 'wedding' cake
WND ^ | Matt Barber

Dear homosexual,

We are your fellow sinners and no better than you. We know this. We are saved from eternal torment, self-wrought, by the grace of Christ alone. If you are an unrepentant, “out and proud” homosexual practitioner, then you are not. It is our deepest prayer that you, too, will accept the free gift of eternal salvation, repent and “go and sin no more.”

The alternative is a living hell.

Let us be direct. According to the unequivocal moral precepts of biblical Christianity, explicit throughout both the Old and New Testaments, your homosexual behavior is sin. Sin is evil. Homosexual behavior is the central, defining characteristic of your counterfeit “gay marriage.” Therefore, “gay marriage” is evil. Christians are obligated to avoid sin – to “do no evil.” “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality. …” (1 Corinthians 6:9).

It really is that simple. This is why, as faithful Christians (apostate “Christians” notwithstanding), we will never have anything whatsoever to do with your pagan, sin-based “same-sex wedding” rituals.

We will not bake your fake wedding cake.

We will not arrange your fake wedding flowers.

We will not take your fake wedding pictures.

We will not host your fake wedding reception.

We will not do these things because to do these things is to disobey God. It is to aid you in your sin, to cause you to stumble, which, in and of itself, is to layer sin upon sin. “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble” (Luke 17:2).

Now brace for the full weight of the federal government to come crashing down on your head for your principled stand.

Because the State has become an agent of evil, I'm afraid.

Amen.

There are plenty of non-christian bakers, photographers, hall managers, florists, musicians, and even CHURCHES who would LOVE to have your business.

So why not go them them and receive affirmation and whatever services you require.

Don’t even consider giving your hard-earned money to Christians. Leave them alone to practice the freedom that you cherish for yourselves.

OR, would you prefer living in a moslem country, where they would hang you from a crane or throw you off a building for your proclivities?

Really - why trust your food for your “special day” to someone who doesn’t agree with your “lifestyle”? Just go somewhere else.

I am a Christian and a maker of furniture.

I will build caskets for gay people, and care very much about the people who buy them. While gay marriages are not real, gay death is very real.

We would do well to print this out and glance at it a few times while in the bathroom (wellll ... it's MY library, anyway), to input the logic and the words that we can easily adapt to our own oratorical style(s)

I know I sometimes fluster when confronted with the quasi intellectual attacks like ... "are you homophobic" or whatever.

THIS article provides one syllable words to help plant good counter thought processes

In a free society, no Christian confectioners would be forced to pack somebody’s fudge.

Because it is about punishing anyone who will not openly and publicly support the homosexual agenda.

Of course, in that case you are not affirming an act that denigrates real marriage. Its only this single point that they have to attack.

I realize that forcing others to affirm that which offends God makes you feel better about your sin for a time. I also realize that it infuriates you when we refuse to join in as you attempt, ineffectively, to justify your wickedness by calling it “marriage.”

The heart of the matter.

“Dear homosexual,
We are your fellow sinners and no better than you. “

Wrong, repentant sinners ARE better than unrepentant sinners.

They prefer to attack places with Christian virtues - they know they can find a business that will accommodate them.

I'm a Christian and a caterer that specializes in weddings with an old historic farmhouse wedding venue. I've wrestled with this for years. I gotta be honest and say that in the past when we had a gay couple interested in our services, I took the path of least resistance and charged super-retail where they couldn't afford us.

Through much prayer and reading of The Word, I've decided I will never reach the lost for Christ, by hating or discriminating. My wife (the owner and wedding coordinator) and I (the executive chef) have decided that I will lovingly tell them the truth about how we feel about providing our services and how our savior feels about it too. But He also instructs us to love them, and we will not only provide our services, but we will make it the most awesome reception ever. I will spread His Gospel, and love our neighbors.

I’m not sure if enabling them in their celebration of sin is loving them. I’m pretty sure it is not.

What is at issue here is not that people who are homosexual shouldn’t be treated fairly as would anyone else (that is, afforded “tolerance”, even by devout Christians); it’s that they are demanding their lifestyle be celebrated, even by devout Christians. This is the line that has been crossed and, thusfar, enforced by the full power of government.

I hear you. That's what I wrestle with.

Jesus told us to love God with all our heart, soul and mind. And, love our neighbor as ourselves. The last thing he said is to make disciples of all the nations. None can be accomplished with judgement or "hating". And in "enabling" them I will be witnessing to them (lovingly) in a way that might actually be effective.

I think the issue isn't whether or not to refuse to serve a customer who happens to engage in sinful actions. . .as most (actually all) customers do. . .a person who engages in homosexual acts can buy cupcakes, can get a headshot (no pun intended) or engage in virtually all manners of commerce owed to a person endowed with equal and unalienable rights.

The issue is this: should a business person be forced by governement power to violate their moral conscience by servicing a customer in such a way that it exalts a particular behavior that the business person finds reprehensible? The answer is a resounding no! There is a difference in selling a cupcake to someone who practices homosexuality and selling a wedding cake that exalts the practice.
