I see one of the Koch Brothers has signed onto this effort.
David H. Koch
Know your enemies FRiends!
This didn’t originate with corporations per se. This was a result of lobbying.
There still is a small number of corporations who resist such folly, and may God bless them to the maximum.
Thanks bud :)
this
deviancy has permeated the entire corporate and media structure and corporations control the food chain
unless you live on a farm, grow your own, and use nothing that is processed ....good luck
Koch is supposedly libertarian, but this turns the corner into coercive. It already was something that could always be privately chosen. They want government’s coercive guns in the process because it is convenient for them. Spit. Koch has lost his right to call himself libertarian as far as I am concerned.
If someone had started showing you this when you were 11 or younger, you’d think it was “normal”
and so, you might be willing to give it a try or at least take a horny teenage prurient interest in watching others do it to each other
that is where we are today
If push comes to shove, the bible offers the helpful example of it being permissible to purchase meat offered to idols — under the conditions that you are not causing those with weaker faith to stumble.
You pretty well know what the money taken in by the idol temple will go for and the bible does not even treat that as mattering. And logically it really doesn’t. It is their responsibility before God what legal things they do with their money. It isn’t a guilt of mine or yours.
We have the luxury of selective buying only when the situation isn’t already saturated with bad sin.
Divorce made marriage easy and disposable. If marriage was practiced as intended-forever, then people would be far more careful going into the decision. You hear the counter argument, “Do you want a woman to stay with an abusive man? or Do you want a man to stay with an adulteress wife?” No, I want people to realize that in this world, there are abusers and adulterers, so go very slow. Don’t hop in the sack on the third date. Don’t get married after 6 months. Don’t marry someone who doesn’t share your values, thinking that you can change him or her. Realize that in seeking a life mate, you are looking for the gift God has provided for you on this earth, don’t treat it like you are shopping for a rental video- “hey if you don’t like it, you can take the next one off the shelf.”
And don’t get me started on what he have done to children with selfish life decisions....
That and catering tomthe Mad Mommies on guns. Piss off a large portion of your potential customers to keep a small group coming back, bad things happen.
I understand that, not arguing that at all.
But Christians did an extremely poor job of defining and defending our positions...it also didn’t help that the media misrepresented them as well.
When you get some kook, looney-tune evangelists [and there were plenty of them] up on stage preaching hell and damnation (albeit true) without being deliberate, compassionate, truthful but loving [hate the sin, love the sinner], then you get characterized as heartless to the point of being hypocrites...
It also didn’t help that some of those very evangelists were engaged in and subsequently caught in illicit behavior while condemning others...
We let a few define the entire faith and we’re paying for it now.
The bible clearly DOES point out a partner’s sexual cheating as grounds for permitting a divorce, even in the New Testament. One can’t be more faithful than the bible. Some churches have tried and it backfires.
All 4 of the Big 4 accounting firms. One more reason to get the heck out of public accounting. Not that you need any additional reasons.
It seems to me that a more caring attitude could have helped defuse a “gay bomb” by showing them that God’s love can show them, too, the way out of their addictive habits.
This is still not impossible at this late date, but it is harder to get the audience now.
To be clear, there is a list circulating of 300+ individuals (including Koch, Mehlman, etc) who signed on one brief in support of same sex marriage.
This list of 379 is a list of corporations that support same sex marriage.
Two separate lists.
Yep, completely agree.
It comforts me to know that God will sort them out.
” behemoths such as Coca-Cola Company, Goldman Sachs, Google and Morgan Stanley. It also includes brands like Ben & Jerrys, a division of Unilever, and sports teams such as the New England Patriots, the San Francisco Giants and the Tampa Bay Rays.”
My....what a shock!
N O T
” If youre going to avoid the whole list, youll need to become Amish.”
Do you have an application ?
: )
I might also add, with these corporate entities rushing to embrace such depravity, I hope they don’t expect me to come to their defense next time the “Occupy” loons rise up and decide to start firebombing them. I’ll just view it as an enemy-on-enemy action.
