CPAC has pulled a huge Paul crowd for a number of years now. First Ron and now Rand. I went a few years back and actually had a lot of fun talking to all the young Paul guys. They are enthusuastic..even if a little misguided on some things. Not surprised to see Paul win...happy to see Walker right up there. He definitely left the biggest impression on voters since the 1st of this year. He’s got the big MO.

Has this straw poll ever predicted the eventual nominee??

Yes. Mitt Romney won in 2012.

I read that the Paul’s have won CPAC 5 times, and Ron won like one primary last time he ran. So this tells me that CPAC is just a side show for Pot smokers.

Jeb looked like a man without support, lots of retreads getting nowhere. We are looking for a leader and Walker and Cruz seem to be the best we got.

Jeb looked like a man without support

The only votes Jebwinkle is going to get in the primaries is from democrats in crossover states, which is why the democrats who populate the establishment leadership positing in the so-called "Republican" party all support open primaries.

I would rather see Rand Paul because it would be a repudiation of the RINO branch of the Repbulican Party that's done so much damage to the US.

I'd rather it be someone with the most solid constitutional conservative credentials and a record to back them up. But Rand Paul would rock that boat....the message being NO MORE manipulated and pre-ordained candidates.

Why would any conservative want Rubio or Perry to be President?

Those two have clearly shown they are on the side of the illegal aliens and their employers and not on the side of the citizens, the rule of law and American sovereignty.

The outcome of this poll tells me it was a "who made me feel good?" survey.

Patience folks! Give the "A" marketing teams enough time and they;ll CONVINCE you to vote for their "B" product candidate that they're getting paid BIG BUCKS to SELL to America.

I was a “not against Bush just because of his name” guy.

I am now a “against Bush because of his policies especially after admitting them in CPAC” guy.

I REALLY hope Jeb reads this poll and GOES AWAY.

Other than the astroturf, who just log on long enough to shill for one or other of the Pauls.
