A top political nemesis of President Vladimir Putin was shot and killed early Saturday in central Moscow, Russian police said, one day before an opposition rally was scheduled to take place.

Boris Nemtsov, 55, a former deputy prime minister, was shot four times from a passing car as he was walking on a bridge just outside the Kremlin. Interior Ministry spokeswoman Yelena Alexeyeva told reporters on the scene that Nemtsov was walking with a female acquaintance, a Ukrainian citizen, when a vehicle drove up and unidentified assailants shot him dead. The woman wasn't hurt.

But you believe a high profile individual/target being murdered by a hired guns while leaving the soul eyewitness completely untouched is credible? .

Who cares about witnesses? You're not exactly worried about the authorities coming after you when you ARE the authorities.

Help me out here. You think professional hit men kill witnesses?

I dunno rudeboy, just a wild guess but if one plans on getting away with it and keeping any possible conspiracy/connections covert, yes. I would assume most in that line of work do not want witnesses or things like video cameras around.

Are you suggesting witnesses to murders for hire are good thing for the career murderers?

???

Who cares about witnesses?

lol...Then why wait until the middle of the night, on some bridge? Why not during the public rally he was supposed to lead the following day, where everyone knew he'd be there?

Who cares right?

“You bet, they were from over the rainbow”

On 28 February, a white Lada Priora car belonging to the alleged killers was found abandoned. The car had a numberplate belonging to the Republic of Ingushetia

I guess you're saying a sign of a good career hit-man is to leave vehicles they own behind.

Real pros....Elperfecto...

There is no doubt that this crime was carefully planned. The location and timing of the killing indicated that as well. Boris Nemtsov was going with his female friend to ‘his apartment, which is located close to the murder scene’... The organizers and the executers apparently knew his route

But it’s more fun to say this was close to the Kremlin rather than that he lived nearby.

Dumpster Nation? Where do you come up with this? It's the bread basket, everyone knows that, it has also produced some of the best soccer players of the USSR, Ukraine goes to the World Cup probably as often as Russia. At least it's not in danger of becoming a Muslim Nation , 25,000,000 of them, Russia is known for its kiddie porn and you don't fool anyone. Oh, I see, Russia is so much better??

Praying for you
at this time!

Russia still better? Vlad and his girlfriend out of wedlock with their kids, dumping his wife? The great moral model of Traditional Marriage?

That’s as good of guess as believing hired guns took out a high profile target but left the only witness totally untouched.

What's she gonna say?

A dark, late model car with an "I love Putin" bumper sticker and 3 KGB agents inside?

It's not like the cops are gonna find the perps.

Blame the Chechens. That’s a well known Chekist disinfo plan. Putinists will soon start the “see it was the Chechens. We din do nuffin” defense.

"You think professional hit men kill witnesses?" [or not]

A few theories:

Could be either way, IF they wanted to send a message. Since, as I said before, it wasn't just murder, but appears to be an execution.

At best, the Ukrainian girl, with whom he had a child, had nothing to do with it.

At worst, she was bought off; it really isn't unusual for Russians or Ukrainians women & men to have kid(s), out of wedlock, and not necessarily be solely attached to one partner.

Re: the message, from the assassin(s), can range from "we don't have anything against a politically inactive woman, ie his Ukrainian girlfriend".. to... "Ukrainians shouldn't mix with Russians or vice versa"... to .. "we just focus on the main target, not their inconsequential lover"... to... "let the girlfriend who witnessed it suffer from shock/trauma" ... to.. "since he is with his Ukrainian girlfriend, his murder may just look like a Russian or Ukrainian [govt] job"...

OR, maybe, it was just a sloppy job on the part of the assassin(s)..

Can the witness, in this instance, ID the assassin(s)? I'm betting she can't.

However, I still think the fact that he was executed in front of his Ukrainian girlfriend, while leaving her unharmed, is significant.

Reminds me of the US mourning for the assasinated Libyan Ambassador. Crocodile tears. Maybe both were killed by similar interests.

Would it make Putin look bad, if false flag agents provocateurs assassinated Nemtsov, seeking to focus eyes on Bad Putin incursion in Ukraine? Especially when Ukraine is losing the battles, and Maruipol, defended by Azov battalion of social nationalists, is precarious and the only real populations center on the land bridge to Crimea from the Eastern Lugansk-Donetsk Russian-backed occupied lands?

Putin will take a month to buzz through Maruipol, and he wants attention diverted away from his Ukraine antics. The murder of Nemtsov only serves to attract more attention. Whats up with the model from Ukraine taking Nemtsov on a late night walk, to his death?

Hardly looks random, and hardly looks like a Putin sponsored hit on opposition. John Effin Kerry jumped on it like a duck on a June bug. This unfortunate Nemtsov was used to focus the EU on shoring up defense of Maruipol, against Russia, methinks.

A few more months, and all of eastern Russia, all the way to Dneiperpetrovsk, can be under control of Russian sponsored tank battalions. So much for Hunter Biden’s shale-fracing oil and gas adventure in Ukraine.

Yep, walking in the middle of the night, on a bridge, yet less than a month prior Nemtsov wrote, "I'm afraid Putin will kill me", which also appeared on various news sites.

You cannot control events and drive a nation in a direction consistent with it’s self interest by allowing the press and political operation to operate unmolested.

His regime looks out for the survival and self interest of the Russian people in a very dangerous world.

Putin kills reporters and opposition leaders who are a threat to his regime and ultimately the Russian people.

We don’t.

At a point in the very near future we will suffer the consequences of doing nothing to stop a communist press and a communist and homosexual opposition in elected office and academia.

Our enemy is on the march.

How many RUSSIANS has ISIS beheaded?

Ever hear of the 2 wars with Chechnya? You think you are making a gold star comment there? Maybe you should ask how many Russians were beheaded in those wars. Maybe ask yourself if soldiers from the former USSR are a significant part of ISIS?

Nemtsov is one of Russia's 'veteran' liberal politicians. and had "friends" in many circles... considered one of the darlings of western bankers.... In 2004 he supported Ukraine's Orange Revolution and became an economic adviser for Pres. Viktor Yushchenko, then rose up the ranks.....This puts Boris Nemstov firmly in bed with Boris Berezovsky... Nemstov & Chubais and Kormomososky were clearly running the show under Yeltin who absolutely knew that!....but when Yeltzin's health crashed it was Berezovxky who put Putin in office rather than Yeltzin's boy Nemtsov....they wanted "new blood"... and bypassed Nemtsov who could not provide the "protection" YEltzin needed to leave and that of his family...Putin could and did.

Berezovky was out to get Putin at any expense for booting out the Oligarchs after Putin took office.... he spent all his money doing so and finally committed suicide after he went broke. He's an interesting study though...loved the limelight and well known in WAshington circles. Berezovsky wanted the Presidency as well...once Putin was gone...

This fellow also opposes Putin and is a US sweetheart....waiting on the sidelines to take Putins.s place. He was jailed for ten years almost, Putin let him go...he is actively opposing Putin currently but will not go back into Russia

And let's not forget the Gas Princess here seeking Ukraine Pres..who is currently serving still in Ukraine's government..... who said if she didn't win she'd create chaos in Ukraine....she has her own army.
