“Needs 60 votes, only has 57.”

I seem to recall that when the Dems controlled the Senate that Dingy Harry invoked the “nuclear option” which removed the 60-vote majority rule to pass bills. Should I assume that when the Republicans regained control of the Senate after the Nov 2014 election they put the 60 vote rule back in place? My God, why didn’t they keep the nuclear option (ie, 51 vote majority), in place as payback on the Rats?

It’s time for (1) the House to pass an amended bill, (2) the conference committee to kill Obama’s illegal actions in conference, and (3) the Senate to vote on that conference bill with no opportunity to filibuster.

Why? Give us a reason. What we read is bullshit. Give us a reason. Is there an Obama Chicago hit squad threatening you Republicans? What reason do you have for giving the Communist leader destroying YOUR, and my country everything he wants?

It will be a very painful time for us all, and I hope we don't completely free fall to the depths you describe. Best to concentrate now on how we can slow the speed of the fall we're in. We need a leader, a Conservative President who can strategize and lead us. I pray that either Ted Cruz or Scott Walker will be nominated. That, and these two men, give me hope for this country.

Either the Communist Democrat Party gave them permission to vote yes, or they're more principled than I thought.

and of course true to RINO/liberal form Alexander and Corker of TN voted for this mess...

Disclaimer: I have never voted for either Alexander nor Corker..

Alexander was in his final term as TN Gov when we moved to TN in 1986...

and I didn’t vote for either for US Senate...

Stupefying. They need to get out of the Republican party and make way for some new blood. And, with dumb luck [fitting for the R’s], some brains. And party loyalty.

We need to do away with career politicians. Pick 'em like for jury duty, one term and get out, which would kill political dynasties as well. And no lobbyists, back to government of/by/for THE PEOPLE NOT THE POLITICANS and no exceptions.
