Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined on Tuesday an invitation to meet with US Senate Democrats during his trip to Washington next week.
"Though I greatly appreciate your kind invitation to meet with Democratic Senators, I believe that doing so at this time could compound the misperception of partisanship regarding my upcoming visit," Netanyahu wrote in a letter to Senators Richard Durbin and Dianne Feinstein obtained by Reuters.
Durbin and Feinstein had invited Netanyahu to a closed-door meeting with Democratic senators in a letter on Monday.
I think this is just a few high-profile Dems trying to run fake cover and put Bibi on the spot.
Good for you Bibi. I can see no reason to visit with the communists Democrats.
Bibi doesn't want to meet with America's traitors, why should he?
they wont be present for his address to congress.....and ..they want him in a closed...door ...meeting?

Yeah, they wanted to get him behind closed doors and then give him a thorough beat down for dissing Pharoah. Good for Bibi for not falling into that trap.

To lie to American Jews about the great meeting they had with Bibi. What else? It is the Democrat way.
Probably not, but a few less Democrats wouldn't be a bad thing.
They wanted it both ways! They wanted the photo op to show their constituencies they were still pro-Israel while still giving him the metaphorical shiv by siding with Obama and grilling him in private. I am close to the Jewish Community without getting into the details, and this is how I see it. Durbin and Di-Fi make my head spin and spit pea soup, aggghh!!!

They wanted to NOT show up when he spoke to Congress, but still meet with him anyway. Now, they’ll either have to show up, going against wee barry, or completely miss out.
I don’t know why democrats are so exercised about bibi’s visit. It’s not as though the us media will give him a fair shake.
Bibi....Many of my contributors are Jews. Please meet us (in private) so we can tell then we support Israel.
They’ve even got Bibi calling them democratics! It’s over. We’ve lost the meaning of the word democratic.
