How Many Crimes Could Testing Rape Kits Prevent?
The Atlantic ^ | 02/24/2015 | David A. Graham

For years, rape kits piled up in Houston. Thousands and thousands of swaps, running back almost 30 years, sat untested. Victims heard nothing. Perpetrators went on with their lives and, in some cases, committed further crimes. Eventually, there were nearly 6,700 kits waiting to be processed.

A gun in the had is worth 10,000 unprocessed rape kits.

I’s sure that the $$$$$ is better spent on welfare for all the illegal aliens.

Hell, a lot of them might be convicted.

Houston isn’t the only city that had this problem. MANY major cities including LA and Detroit are backlogged.

Planned Parenthood encourages underage girls to lie about the men who get them pregnant so the authorities don’t have to be notified in cases of ‘consensual’ statutory rape or ‘rape rape’ sexual assault.

The Left isn’t genuinely concerned about seeing rapists prosecuted for their crimes.

NOW didn’t care about Juanita Broderick. They said that the first grope is free.

Houston has been a Democrat run city for decades.

The article delves into the detail that some rape kits were untested if the abuser was “known” to the victim (e.g. domestic abuse). They say that many are serial attackers with victims beyond their own families.

Was Bill Clinton’s DNA sample from Fornigate run against the FBI database of unsolved crimes?

“Houston isn’t the only city that had this problem. MANY major cities including LA and Detroit are backlogged.”

Apparently, most if not all of the large cities/counties in Californicator land are years behind re testing for dna in rape cases.

The old Latin term cui bono, literally meaning “who benefits?,” cui bono? is a rhetorical Latin legal phrase used to imply that whoever appears to have the most to gain from ...”

In this outrage, not doing rape cases DNA analysis.

The common factor among those cities is a large percentage of black city council members who resist putting any more blacks in prison, regardless of guilt.

Makes you wonder how many MORE victims are raped while DNA/evidence is sitting in some warehouse? IMHO, the police department should budget better to allow the evidence that is collected to actually be processed. Perhaps all the money that goes to the military looking uniforms (vs the old fashioned police uniforms) etc.. can actually go to solving crime vs “looking really cool”. Just my two cents...

1. Houston City Council in 2013 approved a $4.4 million plan, including some federal funds, to pay two private labs to test DNA samples from 9,750 cases, including a backlog of 6,600 rape kits dating to the 1980s.

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/While-some-rape-kits-sat-untested-suspects-6097408.php

2. How many cases will be throw out of court due to 'old' samples being incorrectly stored, miss filed, lack of climate control storage, etc over the last 30 years?

3. I am so sick of the fuc$ing Democrats' claim that Republicans' have a War on Women. The last five Houston Mayors covering the time frame of no rape kit testing:

2010– Annise Parker (Female), Political party: Democratic Party

2004–2010 Bill White (Male), Political party: Democratic Party

1998–2004 Lee Brown (Male), Political party: Democratic Party

1992–1998 Bob Lanier (Male), Political party: Democratic Party

1982–1991 Kathy Whitmire (Female), Political party: Democratic Party

So last five Mayors, all Democrats and two out of the five are women. So where the fuc$ is the Republicans' War on Women?

All I see are Democrats not caring about one of the most vile crimes and nothing done for over 30 years! How many wives, sisters, daughters and children were raped under these Mayors?
