I just talked with a marine that just got back from being deployed in that area.

His unit were teaching the locals anti tank weaponry.

Lithuania has started conscription again, the problem is I think there are a number of Russians in Lithuania, a sort of colonization from the Iron Curtain era. We will see.

If Russia intended to invade Latvia, why are they still allowing us to use their rails leading out of the port of Riga to move out heavy equipment into and out of Afghanistan?
It cant be done through Pakistan safely, so the northern route is used via Russia to Riga.

Is the argument that they intend to invade a NATO country, and fight NATO, while simultaneously allowing us to use the rail link from Riga over to the Stans?
It makes no sense.
