Scott Walker Says He Doesn't Know Whether Obama Is a Christian in Response to 'Gotcha' Question
Christian Post ^ | 02/23/2015 | Anugrah Kumar

Posted on 02/23/2015 7:26:52 AM PST by SeekAndFind

A week after former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani said he wasn't sure whether President Obama loves his country, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican, said he doesn't know whether Obama is a Christian after The Washington Post asked him the "gotcha" question about which religion President Obama adheres to.

"I don't know. I've actually never talked about it or I haven't read about that. I've never asked him that," Walker, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, told The Washington Post, when asked what he thinks of Obama's faith.

"You've asked me to make statements about people that I haven't had a conversation with about that. How [could] I say if I know either of you are a Christian?" he added.

Walker was then asked to respond to Giuliani's comments at a private dinner last Wednesday about Obama's love for his country. The governor gave a similar reply.

"I don't know, I honestly don't know, one way or the other," he said. "I've said that 100 times too."

President Barack Obama, when he was a U.S. Senator campaigning to become president, questioned the patriotism of then President George W. Bush, saying that Bush's policies made him "unpatriotic." Last week, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the president has refused to apologize for those comments.

Incidentally, Walker met Obama at a dinner Sunday night at the White House which was held on behalf of the National Governors Association.

The Post says Walker spokeswoman Jocelyn Webster called after the interview to clarify that the governor was only trying to make a point of principle and not cast doubt on the president's faith.

"Of course the governor thinks the president is a Christian," she was quoted as saying. "He thinks these kinds of gotcha questions distract from what he's doing as governor of Wisconsin to make the state better and make life better for people in his state."

Even during the interview, Walker complained that the media doesn't ask similar questions to Democrats about what other Democrats have said. "They don't ask the president about people like [Teamsters President] Jimmy Hoffa, they don't ask Hillary Clinton about others out there."

Hoffa blasted the tea party movement before Obama at a rally in 2011.

"My focus isn't on what the mayor said. My focus is on why I believe, should I choose to get in this election, why I believe we need a fighter," Walker said.

Despite Walker's clarification, some Democrats reacted to his comments.

"This is truly pathetic. Governor Scott Walker says he is unaware whether Obama is a Christian," Donna Brazile, vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, tweeted.

Recently, Erick Erickson, editor-in-chief of the RedState conservative blog, also remarked about Obama's faith.

"Barack Obama is not, in any meaningful way, a Christian and I am not sure he needs to continue the charade. With no more elections for him, he might as well come out as the atheist/agnostic that he is," Erickson wrote.

He also quoted from the transcript of Obama's speech at the annual National Prayer Breakfast: "I believe that the starting point of faith is some doubt — not being so full of yourself and so confident that you are right and that God speaks only to us, and doesn't speak to others, that God only cares about us and doesn't care about others, that somehow we alone are in possession of the truth."

I can only judge the president’s religion by the church he attended and the sermons of Rev Wright he listened to week after week. Therefore, based on the content of those sermons, I conclude that the president is a racist.

Giuliani said he wasn’t sure whether President Obama loves his country...
+++++
“Of course obama loves his country...” (Giuliani)

In my opinion, we need to examine our ‘heroes’ and their history much more closely. Yes, Giuliani DID a great job of leadership post 911 and, in the aftermath, formed a close alliance with President Bush and his family.

Jeb Bush has a major problem, besides immigration and Common Core and that is lack of ‘fire in the belly’ speeches...enter Giuliani and his many fire storm filled speeches.

I don’t believe that Giuliani is running for the top job but when all the smoke clears away, he will emerge as Jeb’s running mate.

This nonsense needs to stop! IMO, Obama should not be trusted to tell the truth about what his religion is because he can’t seem to tell the truth about the Islamic State’s religion. It is NOT up to any American citizen to cover for Obama’s lack of proving that he is a Christian or that he loves this country....that burden IS totally on Obama. And his actions prove Rudy’S case, IMO.

Obama is NOT a Christian and if he’d like to sue me for libel/slander I’ll be happy to see him prove his faith in court.

Let me help you Scott, he ain’t a Christian.

Indeed, as how can one be a Biblical Christian when you not only support abortion and sodomy, and deny Christ is the only means of salvation, but subscribe to the victim-entitlement ethos of the devil?

After all, the original "share the wealth" scheme was that the devil's occupy movement in asserting "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God...I will be like the most High," (Is. 14:13,14) as the original liberal elite who judged himself fit to reign, selfishly seeking climbing up an unlawful way to power, .

, And then basically told Eve that she was victimized by an oppressive God who would not share His deity with her due to His one rule, and thus she was just in her rebellion. (Gn. 3)

And being frustrated in his lust for power, the devil seeks worship thru proxy servants, establishing an alternative world thru servants who gain power by fostering the victim-entitlement mentality, that those who earned a higher standard of living are their enemies, and thus the liberal elites present themselves as saviors of the oppressed.

But having gained the power they selfishly seek, they reign as kings, and slowly bring all into dependance upon them so that all serve them, so that the end is worse than any oppression the people originally realized.

Must be the same kind of helpful advisors who got McCain to quit ridiculing Obama and beating him before he even got off the ground. That worked out just great.

One way to answer the question which would infuriate the left:

“As a Christian I hope he is a Christian. However only he and God know if he leads a Christian life. I would not presume to speak for God and he has spoken for himself”

If Walker is nominated, some 40% of the electorate will automatically vote democrat, 40% will automatically vote for Walker, the other 20% will not care what Walker thinks about Obama's religion, or what Walker thinks of what Rudy thinks about Obama's love of country.

Indeed, Walker made the correct response. Us here and Guiliana can wax about Obama all we want, but there is no point for a Presidential candidate to get the message off base on something like this. The fact is Guiliani never questioned Obama’s Christianity, so I don't even know where this question is coming from, other than the media does NOT want the next election to actually focus on ISSUES.

I think you nailed it. I am in no way shape or form a good Christian. And there are many ignorant Christians out there, some who think we shouldn't judge people for instance based on sexual proclivities, which makes them just wrong. But Obama pretty much makes it clear what he is.

You asked: You are a reporter right?

Do you mean like these guys....

...consider these excerpts from a conversation between NBC's Tom Brokaw
and PBS's Charlie Rose on Rose's show, five days before the presidential
  election:

Rose: Barack Obama ... is principally known through his autobiography
  and through very aspirational speeches.

Brokaw: Two of them.

Rose: Exactly, two books...

Brokaw: He's a very smart guy. I love this phrase postmodern, even though
I don't know what it means.

Rose: I know what it means in architecture but not in politics.

Brokaw: Right. Exactly. And he may be our first postmodern presidential
  candidate...

Brokaw: We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his
thinking about foreign policy. China has been not examined at all, which
  is astonishing...

Rose: I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is. Really don't know.

Brokaw: No, no, I don't either.

Rose: I don't know how he really sees where China is and where it wants to
go and how smart he is about that, or India, or the whole global structure.
Or John McCain either.

Thay are not reporters. They are enemies of the American people.

It doesn't seem like Scott has found his voice with regard to cultural issues. Yes, the Leftist media consists of a bunch of Obama sychophants, with barely a pretense of being impartial. But we need a candidate who can play THEM, instead of us.

Ted's the guy.

I want the Rs to start responding to these questions this way: WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME THAT?

That won’t work for every tough question they’ll be asked, but it will certainly work for cr*p like this.

“Is Obama a Christian?”

“Why are you asking me that?”

I’d love to hear the “reporter’s” response to that.

OBAMA, THE TAQIYYA PRESIDENT

OBAMA IS WHAT IS KNOWN TO MUSLIMS AS “TAQIYYA.” ACCORDING TO THE MIDDLE EAST FORUM “THE QURAN ALLOWS MUSLIMS TO HAVE A DECLARED AGENDA, AND A SECRET AGENDA (JIHAD, SLAUGHTER, AND MAYHEM) DURING TIME OF WEAKNESS, THIS IS CALLED TAQIYYA.” TO PUT IT IN SIMPLER WORDS, IT IS THE “ART” OF DECEPTION, OR MORE CORRECTLY, OF DECEIVING NON-MUSLIM INFIDELS.

Does Obama Love America or Islam?

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On February 23, 2015 @ 12:21 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPag

What are the things that Obama is passionate about?

In his first days in office, he signed a number of executive orders. Of his first five orders, three involved Muslim terrorists captured and held in Gitmo. His third executive order was about the “humane” treatment of terrorists. His fourth executive order sought to close Gitmo. Like the man who can’t wait to get away from his wife so he can call his mistress, Obama made his priorities clear from the start.

It took Obama a month to set up the Economic Recovery Advisory Board. It took him two days to set up a Special Interagency Task Force on Detainee Disposition to free Gitmo terrorists.

Obama prioritized helping Muslim terrorists over the economic recovery. Why? Because that was a subject he was passionate about.

People will always prioritize what they are passionate about over what they aren’t. It’s easy to look at a mission shift and see the choice that has been made.

For example, is Obama passionate about space exploration? He told the head of NASA that his “foremost” priority was making Muslims feel good about themselves.

Obama is more passionate about Muslim self-esteem than he is about visiting other planets.

Is he passionate about god and religion? That depends on which god and which religion.

Obama left out “Under God” when reciting the Gettysburg Address. The DNC’s platform initially left out “God” and booed the reinsertion. Obama’s invocation at his inauguration also dropped “Under God”.

owever Obama cheerfully recited “Allahu Akbar”, the opening of the Islamic supremacist call to prayer, and called it “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”

He had a man jailed for making a YouTube video attacking Mohammed and blamed him for Muslim acts of terror against America.

Obama’s religious beliefs, such as they are, remain locked in his head. But there is only one religion that he is passionate enough to protect by imprisoning those who blaspheme against it.

He may botch salutes and the pledge of allegiance, but he has retained the ability to chant “Allahu Akbar” with a “first-rate accent”.

He may think that the “good book” says “don’t throw stones in glass houses”, but he accurately quotes the Koran. The things that we remember are the ones that we really care about.

Obama has an obligation to reference the Gettysburg Address, to wait out the pledge of allegiance and to praise America. He has no obligation to quote the Koran or chant “Allahu Akbar”. These are things that he does because he wants to do them. They are the things that he is actually passionate about.

Does he love them more than he loves

There are married couples who have lived together for decades only to discover that the love of their life had been cheating on them all along. And who is to say that the adulterer doesn’t love? We can’t pass a final verdict on his feelings. But we can know his faithlessness by his deeds.

We can say of him and of Obama that they broke faith with the covenant that they had entered into. We can say that they betrayed those who trusted them, lied to them, used and abused them, and then feigned outrage when their actions were questioned.

Can the media’s furious talking heads denouncing Giuliani deny that Obama lied to Americans? Can they deny that he harmed them? Can they deny that he refused to take responsibility for his actions?

The facts are clear. Only the interpretation is in doubt. And the interpretation is what we are debating.

Does Obama lie to Americans because he loves them? Does he weaken America abroad because he loves it? And if Obama loves America, what does he love about it and how does he show that love? Does he love the Constitution? If he did, he wouldn’t constantly violate it. Does he love Americans?

Which Americans? The ones whose health plans he took away for ObamaCare or the ones whose jobs he took away to legalize illegal aliens? The ones

Is it the Americans who no longer believe in the future under his rule that he loves? Is it the unemployed Americans he loves? Is it the Americans he jailed under his new laws and regulations that he loves?

If Obama loves Americans, then it’s a clear case of hurting the ones you love.

And if Obama doesn’t love Americans, what America does he love; the rock band or the Walt Whitman poem, the town America in the Netherlands or the Neil Diamond song?

Questioning Obama’s love for America is alleged to be unacceptable gutter politics, but accusing his critics of being racists is a standard debating tactic for those same outraged media talking heads.

It wasn’t gutter politics when Obama claimed that the national debt under Bush was “unpatriotic”. Is Obama at least as “unpatriotic” for increasing the debt by 70 percent? Is it possible that his spending spree proves that he doesn’t love America? Or is indebting our children the way that he shows his love? Can we question the patriotism of a man who frees terrorists or only of a man who locks them up? Is asking whether Obama loves America an unacceptable question because the answer is obvious or because it isn’t? Obama will go on making speeches in which he claims to love America while making the country poorer, more dangerous and weaker. He will also go on making speeches praising Islam while increasing the power, influence and wealth of Muslims in America and around the world.

The rest of the history

Yes, of course, God says we should not judge others. However, He DOES tell us that we are not to be apart of this world, not should we agree or go along with things that He says is wrong. Thus, we are to speak out regarding gross sins, such as sexual sins, etc. We are not to just say, “oh, well, I cannot judge,” and just forget it or walk away. We are to stand up for Christ, and we are and should speak up about sinful conduct. Homosexual conduct is a sin and we should not agree with it, we should not put up with it being forced on our children in schools, etc. So, what we are not suppose to do is run up and point our fingers in peoples faces and yell at them to quit doing homo acts. We should tell them that what they are doing is wrong in God’s eyes, and that they should turn from those activities. That God loves them and God can save them from such things. No sin is unforgivable. Repentance of our sins is all it requires. Call on the name of Jesus and be saved. It is in Romans.
