Cap N Tax seemed like a slam dunk when Pelosi, Reid, and Baraq were in control. Somebody said they p*ssed away all their legislative time on Obamacare and didn’t get it done.

To me it seems like the perfect liberal tool to raise lots of tax money with the MSM attributing all the blame to utilities and oil companies.

But California passed their own version. However it may be problematic if the residents can look across the state line and see that energy costs aren’t skyrocketing there.

...auctions carbon pollution permits...

That really sounds like more of a giveaway to the auctioneers. The original tax and rebate proposal simply had a carbon tax on energy sales with a rebate. The auction sounds like a complication to give it more of a cap and trade flavor and cap and trade is basically a giveaway to Goldman.

True. Nuclear produces none of the dreaded greenhouse gases. Yet liberals oppose nuclear.

Liberal oppose just about everything except windmills and solar. Even some windmills have issues with birds and other wildlife being killed, though.

Liberals just don’t live in the real world sometimes. In the real world, choices have to be made. We can’t ever achieve their utopia of clean green energy with no pollution or consequences of any kind as a result. Their solution is to shut down fossil fuel production without any realistic alternatives. Which is unrealistic.

I yearn for a future day in which adults are once more in charge of our government and setting policies in areas such as energy.

CO2 is so scary, they still won't push for nuclear energy.

They don't give a crap about CO2. They want more taxes now and control over all energy supplies for future taxes.

“Climate Change” is the second biggest scam/hoax ever perpetuated on the American people — right after Ophonybama being elected President!

With Republicans in control of both houses of Congress, the odds of passing a climate change bill this year are virtually non-existent. But Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Maryland, plans to reintroduce legislation to cap carbon emissions this week, anyway, due in part to the impact it could have on the 2016 election.

Now THAT sounds like astute electoral strategery. In case you haven't noticed, Americans for the most part are wise to your bunkum, Chris. If this has any effect on 2016, I bet it's not the one you're thinking.

Given the forecast for the next week, meteorologists in Ohio say with confidence that this will have been the coldest February in Ohio in recorded history.

If global warming were real, it could be blocked by putting an additive in jet fuel.

No one is proposing this.
