Didn’t the Muslim slave traders bring and sell slaves to America? That’s the “fabric” Islam wove.

In one sense, Obama is right.

As the Barbary Pirates were attacking mercantile ships and enslaving the occupants during the 18th century, and were also demanding tribute, President Jefferson didn't want to pay it and sent the little U.S. fleet and its Marines into action. Together with Arab allies and foreign mercenaries, U.S. forces reached "the shores of Tripoli" and subdued its pasha into peace. This task was repeated under President Monroe a decade later, and this time piracy was ended permanently.

Our marines have this phrase "to the shores of Tripoli" in their battle hymn.

This is when Robert Goodloe Harper said, "Millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute."

There was a commemorative token coin minted to remember this occurrence, in 1837 and 1841

The reason he would say ‘Islam Has Been Woven Into the Fabric of Our Country Since Its Founding’ is that it gives them a claim. Once they have (ever had) a claim, they say they have a right to retake that area and make it theirs.

That is what they have been doing for the last 1/2 century in Europe since they were kicked out several hundred years earlier.

Depends on whose country you refer to, Barry. If it is East Africa (now Kenya) or East Indies (Indonesia) that's true. If you're talking the America and the United States, that's a LIE. If you don't this and don't know why, you were not born or raised here.

I understand that the Kenyan tribe from which Obama’s ancestors come were Muslim slavers - the one’s that captured non-Muslim Africans and sold them to the European and American slave buyers.
