Maybe I’m missing something here but why should Germany continue loaning money to a Country whose new leader has made it clear they have no intention of paying it back?
If I was in charge of Germany I would stop the money and have Greece thrown out of the EU.
The idiots in Greece have just voted for the party which wants to spend more again . The same idiots who can’t understand why they are in this mess.
Guilt for invading them some 75 years ago?
Germany greatly benefits from the Euro since it makes their exports more competitive compared to if they had to go back to using the Mark. Profits higher and salaries lower. If it stops at Greece, fine - but Germany doesn’t want the entire EU to unravel.
