This terrible poll shows Elizabeth Warren beating Hillary Clinton
Washington Post ^ | 2/11/15 | Aaron Blake

MoveOn.org wants Elizabeth Warren to run for president -- so much so that it has commissioned a poll with the very clear purpose of making Warren's potential candidacy look as good as possible.

Mission accomplished. The just-released poll from YouGov shows Warren ahead of Clinton 31 percent to 24 percent in Iowa and 30-27 in New Hampshire.

How do you get results so far afield of any polling we've seen to date? You say a bunch of positive/liberal-friendly things about Warren before you ask the head-to-head question.

she doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in Hell. Next to her, Hillary looks stable.

That’s right. Things look bad so its time for Hillary! to start drinking again. (In public, that is.)

God as my witness, if Faux-cahontas campaigns anywhere within a half-days drive of my home I will raise a cavalry brigade and embarrass her right back to the reservation.

That is my patriotic duty.

Who’s with me?

No kidding.

The upside to this is that even if Warren continues to emphatically deny wanting to run for President this cycle, the Hillary! machine may feel compelled to slap her around a bit, just to be sure. They’re apparantly really spooked about getting blindsided by Obama in ‘08 and are determined not to make that mistake again.

The irony here is that MoveOn began as a pro-Clinton org trying desperately to change the discussion during the impeachment.

Funny, I remember former Boston talk show host Jay Severin saying almost the exact same thing about Obama in 2008.

I don't discount ANY Democrat candidate's chances of winning the Presidency, no manner how reprehensible and looney they are.

As long as they pledge to defend the Holy Mother Welfare State at all costs, they can count on the MSM's undying devotion.

Maybe not, but I'd like to see Warren announce her candidacy soon. That will force Hillary to come out of hiding and start making public appearances again. Hillary's handlers know that every time she opens her mouth, the potential to damage her chances for the presidency is there.

No, because it’s fakery. She’s a stalking goat until Hillary feels like emerging.

Really, the more she runs unopposed the more it looks like a 3rd Obama term.

Additionally, in this case I disagree with the writer on the polling methodology.

The goal really isn’t to see how Warren does against Clinton in an election-today matchup, but to see how Warren, championing Progressive ideals, would do against Clinton in early state caucuses and primaries.

It, of course, leaves out any questions along the lines of what the Clinton Machine would be expected to gut Warren like a fish with, tho.
