Scott Walker Not Done Collecting Skulls for his Throne

After winning two bruising electoral battles in the last 3 years, and making structural changes to Wisconsin’s budget with Act 10, you might be forgiven for thinking that Scott Walker would likely rest on his laurels as he prepares for an anticipated 2016 campaign. You would be wrong. Walker has released his proposed Wisconsin budget for this year and it is loaded with cuts to liberal sacred cows across the board. Walker’s proposed cuts have once again mobilized the unions against him for planned protests over the weekend. Walker is yet again showing that where others might prefer the easy road, he almost relishes the opportunity to test his battle mettle.

First of all, Walker has proposed $300 million in cuts to the University of Wisconsin system. Predictably, this has sparked a planned round of protests from university professors – as a class, the most liberal and among the most unproductive members of society – who are provoking their students to join. As if you needed any confirmation of the character or the participants in this process, the organizers are a veritable who’s who of Democrat politics:

snip

Not content with provoking liberal university professors, Walker’s budget also goes after the Secretary of State’s office, headed by Doug La Folette. La Folette, you may recall, is one of the Democrat gadflies who ran against Walker in the 2012 recall election.

There is another interview with Bret Baier where Walker explains the amnesty rumor/smear campaign was started by a reporter for a WI paper, and is based on what the reporter said, not what Walker said.

That's the only way to do it. Most Republicans (especially in the Senate) propose one sensible reform, endure the usual withering criticism, then settle for much less than they asked for as a 'compromise." You have to throw so much stuff at them they can't effectively deal with it all.

Right. You don't ask for the moon. You as for the Sun, Moon, and stars, and finally settle for just the Moon.

I'll make the wager that my Governor does run. And, I think he has an excellent shot at sealing the GOP nomination. But to succeed at achieving the presidency, he really needs a solid social conservative selection for VP. Our governor is as strong a budget hawk conservative as you can find, fiscally. But his weaker stances on social issues leave many in the grass roots base with puzzled expressions and shaking heads. In those areas, Ted Cruz is knocking the ball out of the park consistently. A Walker/Cruz ticket is a guaranteed victory. Guaranteed.

Admit it. I came up with a really hideous curse, enough to induce lifelong celibacy in a normal man.

I assume it refers to Game of Thrones, which I don’t watch.

I think it’s a reference to Warhammer 40k, which my kids and nephew play. Uber nerds.

There was an earlier article (maybe by the same guy) that talked about Walker sitting on a throne made out of the skulls of his enemies he had destroyed. It has become a small meme.

Liberals love university jobs because they can often be paid for teaching as few as one class three times a week

Some of the ones squealing the loudest, have been shown to teach exactly ZERO times a week.
