Where is the NRA?
Conservative Review ^ | February 3, 2015 | Conservative Review Staff

Gun Owners of America sent out an alert warning Republicans of the pending nomination of anti-gun crusader Loretta Lynch, President Obama's nominee for Attorney General. That begs the question: Where is the National Rifle Association (NRA)? Lynch is no friend of the Second Amendment yet the NRA appears to be giving members of the Senate a pass on the nomination. After you read the GOA alert, you can only ask "why?"

Let's start with Operation Choke Point, the Justice Department program intended to destroy the firearms industry by cutting off credit and credit card processing to gun manufacturers and dealers.

Now, if she were a dunce, it would have been one thing. But Lynch exhibited encyclopedic knowledge of section numbers and legislative language when needed to administer "put-downs" to Republicans who dared question the legality of Obama's executive actions.

And yet, when it came to controversies like Choke Point, she repeatedly took the Sergeant Schultz defense: "I know noooo-thing."

Or take Lynch's defense of Obama's illegal anti-gun "executive amnesty" -- unconstitutional moves which could dramatically swell the anti-gun population.

Lynch is no friend of the Second Amendment

citing the obvious for the sake of those in DC: DC politicians in general do not want citizens to be armed because armed citizens are a threat to most of them and they realize totally that the last bastion of liberty is none other than personal firearms in the hands of those who cherish liberty

The NRA endorsed Joe Manchin for US Senate.

Twice.

What else is there to say?

They also once supported Dingy Harry, too. Not to mention the NRA coined the phrase “Sporting purposes of firearms”, and were behind every major gun control bill including the 1934 National Firearms Act and the 1968 Gun Control Act.

Check out their March 1968 American Rifleman where they brag about it.

The NRA is a lobbying group staffed by professional lobbyists who will never run themselves out of a job. I do not support them. They are the like the GOPe only positioning for power and using “useful idiots” to fund their power struggle.

Anyone who loves this country, our Constitution, our freedoms, our liberties, and wishes to honor those who gave their lives founding and defending it should never give one inch ever on the Second Amendment. No concealed carry permits, no waiting periods, no BATF, no restrictions period. One day maybe later, maybe sooner this country will lose its right to bear arms and the first step in compromising will be the obvious cause.

And Dingy Harry repaid them by killing Obama’s new AWB and background check bills even though Newtown was still fresh in everyon’s minds. It’s almost always useful to have the senate majority leader beholden to you.

They could have backed someone other than a liberal of the like of Dingy Harry who would have done the same thing.

Harry Reid killed the Assault Weapon Ban and the push for expanded back ground checks. Investing in him paid off.
