Despite President Obama’s claim on Monday that he has not yet made a decision about supplying defensive weapons to the Ukrainian army, which is battling Russia-backed separatists who want an independent region within that country, the Russian media is full of predictions. They’re warning of the terrible impact further U.S. involvement in the conflict might have.
Quoting a member of the Russian Defense Ministry's public advisory board who requested anonymity, The Moscow Times reported Monday that if the U.S. supplied arms to Ukraine, it would be viewed as an act of war. That action would not only increase the tension in the region, it would also force the Kremlin to “respond asymmetrically against Washington or its allies on other fronts,” the publication reported.
"We can also encourage Iran, or even back Iran in a fight — a military operation — with Saudi Arabia, so then the prices for oil will skyrocket," the source said.

If I were President, I’d come up with a secret deal with Putin that we attack Iran and take Iran down with no Russian interference, and we will do nothing if Russia takes down the Ukraine at the same time.
The Russians are like Russians always were
Thanks to Obama’s stellar diplomatic victories, Russia/Iran is now (or very soon will be) in the position to block both the Straights of Hormuz, and the access to the Suez Canal.
Didn’t work so well when Hitler did the samething at the start of World war two.
Desperate countries (like Russia) can do things that are not always in their own long term interests. This could get scary. In the end, Russia would lose this escalation, but at what cost to us and our allies?
Putin is just dumb enough to do this

As if Obama arms anyone who isn’t Muslim
If Reagan were president, he would be trying to arrange it where we win on everything, and Russia loses on everything.
His goal would be to continue to weaken them and block them, until eventually they back off.
With this modern Russia, he would be slapping Putin down as though he were a child.
Russia isn’t so desperate, Putin is.
Russia has the option of merely calling off the invasions and concentrating on itself as a peaceful nation.
Do it NOW!
Obama is playing checkers, but Putin is playing chess.
Why would the Russians agree to that? They will already get Ukraine sooner or later, because the West lacks the nerve to challenge them.
Then we could help Israel attack Iran. Nuke the land to glass chips. Russia better be careful, King Obama can be kicked out and America's might is still here.
