Oh, I’d like to add, that about 55% of my gross income that payday was taken by the gov. Sick psycho’s are gonna take it all one day.

How is it that Rangel and Sharpton continue on with their schemes and the IRS doesn’t shut them down? I know that is a rhetorical question, however it seems that they go on with life and this guy is getting slammed for much smaller amounts. It also seems that Sharpton and Rangel have the means to pay their past IRS and state debt. They may be living on welfare and food stamps if the governments took what was owed but that is a problem of their own making. What is mandatory for Kent Carter should be mandatory for Sharpton and Rangel. It must be nice to have connections in high places.

The IRS just employed 141 agents who owe back taxes. I doubt their taxes will recieve the usual 50% surcharge. THUGS, plain and simple.

ABOLISH THE IRS.

REPEAL THE 16th AMENDMENT.

There has never been a better time to take out the IRS.

THE FAIR TAX WOULD BE THE BIGGEST TRANSFER OF POWER FROM DC BACK TO THE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY’S HISTORY.

The FairTax is replacement, not reform. It replaces federal income taxes including personal, estate, gift, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment, and corporate taxes.

The FairTax brings jobs back to America by allowing companies to operate on our soil tax free rather than paying the current corporate income tax of 35 percent. Under the FairTax, various economists have predicted higher economic growth ranging from 7 to 14 percent over the current system, more jobs, and higher wages.

With the penalty for working harder and producing more removed, Americans are free to keep every dollar they earn, and a new era of economic growth and job creation is unleashed. Hidden taxes are history, Americans are able to save more, and businesses invest more. Capital formation, the real source of job creation and innovation, is facilitated. Gross domestic product (GDP) increases by an estimated 10.5 percent in the first year alone. The FairTax as proposed raises the economy’s capital stock by 42 percent, its labor supply by 4 percent, its output by 12 percent, and its real wage rate by 8 percent.

As U.S. companies and individuals repatriate, on a tax-free basis, income generated overseas, huge amounts of new capital flood into the United States. With such a huge capital supply, real interest rates remain low. Additionally, other international investors will seek to invest here to avoid taxes on income in their own countries, thereby further spurring the growth of our own economy.

No more audits, no more property seizures...

AS I understand it, the Sheriff is the highest elected official in a county. As such, the Feds can not run law enforcement opecations without the Sheriff’s permission and knowledge. There is an exception if they are investigating the Sheriff for corruption.

Consequently, the Sheriff can stop a Federal enforcement action.

I had to call several times a couple years ago, when they claimed that we owed an additional $250,000 in taxes, and each time I called, I spoke with different women, all of whom identified themselves as “Mrs. Knox”. I believe they do not give their actual names out when you talk to them on the phone.

My feeling is that if they cannot/won’t identify themselves with their full true names then they are committing a federal crime.

They do this because they think they can get away with it but it is not legal in my opinion.

Doesn't work, I tried that. They will give you a false name anyway and if you ask to speak to their “supervisor” they will give you a coworker who surprisingly sides with what the first one said so asking for a name is useless.

Trying to get any solid information from the IRS is usually a waste of your time. They themselves do no know the laws they are supposedly following. Many of them are idiots affirmative action workers.

Not trying to sound like a “negative nancy” here to use an old expression but in all technicality sheriffs have no authority over federal agents who are carrying out their federal duties. Sheriffs derive their authority and power from their respective state constitution and/or state statute. In fact, sheriffs in one state might might have more authority and power than a sheriff would have in another state. Since the sheriff is technically not a federal empowered official, he or she has no lawful purview or authority over a federal agent carrying out federal duties. A federal agent does have lawful authority to arrest a sheriff in a hypothetical situation if a sheriff interferes or tries to impede a federal agent faithfully carrying out their duties. I know that it might be an unpopular opinion amongst fellow conservatives but that is how the law actually works and not some claim that sheriffs magically have total authority in their jurisdiction even over the feds. The Supreme Court ruled that the feds cannot compel local authorities to enforce federal law. That does not change the fact that the feds have full Congressional authority to enforce federal law without interference.

The Sheriff’s powers come from the 9th and 10th Amendments, which are systematically ignored - and from the 2nd Amendment, which cannot be ignored. This is why the far left wants law-abiding citizens disarmed. A sheriff backed by thousands of armed Americans is immune to FedGov intimidation. A sheriff standing alone can do nothing.

They also can’t read english.

They routinely ignore conditional clauses using the word “if”, as well ignoring conjunctions like “and” to support their arguments

They always respond angrily with “You can see it says that! Can’t you?”.

Which is where I point out grammar and say “Yes, it does use those word but, you can’t ignore a word to give a sentence a whole new context that doesn’t exist”.

I've never, ever heard that a federally appointed law enforcement official's authority exceeds that of a locally elected official's. I don't believe it. Citation required.

I would argue that a federal agent acting outside the Enumerated Powers can lawfully be resisted by a local sheriff. In fact, the Bill of Rights makes this clear:

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

and

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
