He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn't seen," said Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, who was in the meeting with the king. "He mentioned 'Unforgiven' and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie."

Hunter would not say which part of "Unforgiven" the king quoted, but noted it was where Eastwood's character describes how he is going to deliver his retribution. There is a scene in the picture in which Eastwood's character, William Munny, says, "Any man I see out there, I'm gonna kill him. Any son of a bitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only going to kill him, I'm going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down." "He's angry," Hunter said of King Abdullah. "They're starting more sorties tomorrow than they've ever had. They're starting tomorrow. And he said, 'The only problem we're going to have is running out of fuel and bullets.'"

"He's ready to get it on," Hunter added. "He really is. It reminded me of how we were after 9/11. We were ready to give it to them."

Hunter said there was no mention of President Obama during the bipartisan meeting,

Placed in breaking news as reprisal attacks supposed to begin tomorrow. Hope he does take the high road and use the Unforgiven Policy.

are Jordan and Israel still in opposition to each other?

I would think that both of these nations, working together, could really start a major push-back against ISIS.

I work in an office in the DoD that deals with some of that and I am going to start using that phrase every mention of Jordan I hear. The Eastwood doctrine.

Israel and Jordan are technically enemies but there are plenty of rumors of quiet cooperation. I know Abdulla sent one of his kids to Israel for emergency surgery a few years ago and his dogs go to an Israeli vet

O.K. Sounds like a serious discussion occured then. One would only bring up Obama if they wanted to discuss poor excuses.

Much easier to issue a statement “condemning” the “extremists,” then go golfing or fundraising.

A close friend of mine has a father from Jordan. The family is Muslim for appearance sake only. He told me that when he returned from a family gathering a year or two ago, they asked him if he was still a practicing Christian.

When he replied that he was, they admonished him to remain faithful and true to the faith. Some even told him the time would come that it would be safe for some of the family who wished to join him.

Jordan and Israel are not exactly "friends," but they're not in a state of hostility either.

Jordan's leadership has played its cards wisely over the years -- sometimes in ways that hasn't endeared itself to the U.S. They were openly "neutral" in the 1990 Iraq War, for example.

Jordan ceded its claims to the West Bank in 1988, which had the unusual result of easing tensions with Israel while at the same time getting an enormous problem off its hands and into Israel's hands.
