"The Seahawks, who have four Aggies on their roster, are generally seen as walking the walk.

The Patriots, who have a track record for breaking rules, are the perfect contrast, making for an excellent illustration for children."

Seahawks' lead the league in Performance Enhancing Drug bans under Carroll

Sorry but the Hawks have their own cheating reputation problem as well.

Unlike others I will not blame the Seattle coaches for going to the air when everyone said they should have stuck with Lynch. At the point they had all their timeouts, a couple of downs and most importantly, the Patriots were bunched up on a very strong goal line defense. Lynch punched a lot of holes through the Pats line but he also bounced off a few times.

Again, it was no sure thing that Lynch could have punched through. Just look at the lineup in that play!

So going to the air was an effort to breakup that solid line a little, and with two downs left it made some sense.

I'm sorry, but I think you are being way too nice to this moron.

He/She is just crying bitter tears, and bearing false witness. Like you, I didn't like the smear against Brady any more than I would against any player. It's wrong; sinful, really.

Why can't people say, "Great game! I really am sorry to see my team lose, and I think we could have done things differently, but I don't take it PERSONALLY!"

>>The Seahawks, who have four Aggies on their roster, are generally seen as walking the walk.<<

The sea-hags have been taught to cheat as much as possible on Defense. Only Baltimore plays D dirtier than the seahags. And the seahags have been fund to use PEDs and new rumors are swirling that wilson is using roids.

The only walk carroll and the seahags walk is the Walk Of Shame.

>>Brady is not an oustanding Christian man like Wilson. <<

How do you know that? Brady does a lot of charitable work. He just doesn’t Tebow it.

>>I’ll take these Seahawks players and their work in the community over 10 Lombardis anyday. The fact they still win them is gravy.<<

The Patriots (in fact every NFL team) does a lot in their community as well.

Your comparisons are in-apt.

You just happened to hit on my deepest belief....I cant get passed any person voting democrat and claiming to be a Christian...I say it about Liberal Catholics, Liberal protestants and the black Church

A vote for a Democrat is a vote for abortion, a vote for the removal of God/Christ from the classroom public square a vote for the most liberal evil supreme court

Please tell me were I have it wrong. PLEASE

You are keeping count of how often NFL players pray and visit cancer wards? Really? Why not just hand the Lombardi trophy to the most pious team and be done with it. Forget all this silly football playing stuff.

I'm with you 100% on this. As Christians, we just can't support the evils of abortion, the homosexual agenda and all the other ills that plague our Godless society.

As far as supporting a team who's coach has questionable morals, it's just a football game, it's mindless entertainment on a Sunday afternoon.

We can only take care of our own souls and hope and pray that all should find the truth and wisdom in Christ.

Because the NFL is a results oriented business and the result was bad that makes the play bad. But great coaches generally become great coaches for taking risks. 2 weeks ago Carroll faces 4th and 10 in easy FG range to get his team’s first points of the game, calls a fake, gets a TD, and those 4 points are the difference between a noble attempt at a come back and actually getting the tie and the win. If the fake fails it’s a dumb move, it didn’t so it was great. If the pass yesterday is completed for a TD it’s a brilliant move, going against expectations and playing boldly for the win. But it wasn’t.

Also remember the game wasn’t really over at that point, thanks to over celebration the Pats get the ball back on the one and cannot kneel. A kneel lands in the endzone, safety, 2 points, kick it back to Seattle sitting on 1 time out and about 15 second only needing a FG to win. The game really ends when the Pats say “Seahawks jump offsides a lot, let’s draw them, and get those 5 yards”.

“When you throw the ball one of three things can happen, and two of them are bad” immediately comes to mind

Yeah, Woody was right about that one.

“It wasn’t just that the pass play was a bad call, it was a pass play over the middle that’s clogged with all kinds of players from both sides.” Pete Carroll on the radio said it was supposed to be a run play but the Pats didn’t fall for the wide receivers so they jammed up the middle. Lynch would have been down for a loss with two guys coming in on-touched. So it was a “throw-away” pass play. But to throw it in the middle like that? Crazy. But I guess the receivers were all close in so they didn’t have other options? But a high throw-away pass to Clay Matthews in the corner of the end-zone would have perhaps made sense if they didn’t think they could run it. Really sad to see. And even sadder was the punches thrown.

ALL so very true.

A read option pass play would have been great, especially with the defense sold out on the run up the middle.

Hell, a qb sneak with Lynch pushing his ass through the scrum might have worked. Anything but what they did.

Woody was right.

Great points!

Wish they hadn’t been drawn offsides. Would have been a HELL of an ending!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats had no intention to snap the ball unless somebody was offsides. They’re already at their own 1, a delay penalty is half the distance to the goal, not much difference, especially when all you want is to run the clock anyway.
