Your welcome but I can’t take any credit as I saw it on another thread on FR tonight. Enjoy though.

Sherman - yeah, I agree, not the “light” you want to show if a Christian. I was talking about Wilson.

Seattle lost the game and threw a tantrum. Zero class.

My wife had an insight. A positive that we can parlay from this Superbowl is to teach kids about cheating. If one walks the walks and talks the talk, he won't be suspected of cheating. If, on the other hand, he bends the rules and is perverse, even his victories will be tainted.

The Texas A&M Aggies are a sterling example: their honor code is "Aggies do not lie, cheat, or steal, nor do they tolerate those who do so."

The Seahawks, who have four Aggies on their roster, are generally seen as walking the walk.

The Patriots, who have a track record for breaking rules, are the perfect contrast, making for an excellent illustration for children.

Once upon a time, a "Patriot" meant something. Would not John Adams have been utterly dismayed at the behavior of this football team? He would be beyond disappointed - infuriated even - to see what has become of his beloved New Englang, that Boston has become a cesspool of moral depravity.

A great game was totally ruined ...

FIRST by that BONEHEAD call to pass the ball into the end zone on 2ND DOWN? Like you didn’t have ... lets see ... 3rd Down or 4th Down !!! Whoever called the play ought to be cashiered pronto. I hear it was the OC, but Carroll coulda nixed it.

SECOND the brawl after Brady knelt the first time.

I HATE crappy play calls and I HATE brawls ...

I wish Bruce Irvin hadn’t done that. It’s emblematic of the heart with which these guys played. They had this game won, had this vampire (finally after 15 years) staked, and let it slip away...

Is that what Lord Roger decreed?

Cool. It’s Super Bowl L then.

Good morning. I know all about this and his squishy spirituality. As far as I am concerned, that is his business, and is between him and God.

What I took issue with is your commentary about Tom Brady and his charitable works. Tom Brady does a lot of things with all kinds of people, cancer, disabilities, etc.

He just doesn’t call the news stations and have them meet him at the hospital or whatever. We usually hear about it when the patient or kid comes out after the fact and tells the story later.
