"Some people really like classical music and ballet and opera. It's not my cup of tea. I would like to think that there's room in America for people who have different points of views without screaming, shouting and wanting to shut their businesses down."

that statement is so far off the mark - the term apples and oranges doesn’t even get close.

how can one compare classical music to a immoral lifestyle.

The people who favor gayism are quite ready to shut your business down if you don't go along with it. So, whats your point?

This is all you need to know about his campaign intelligence. Being against gay marriage is fine. Comparing it to alcoholism is like asking to be beat up. He CANNOT be the nominee.

"We're so sensitive to make sure we don't offend certain religions, but then we act like Christians can't have the convictions that they have had for over 2,000 years," Huckabee said.

This is his point.

I guess Mike Huck is taking the gamble that America still has enough Fundamental Christian Voters who have decided to resist changing their views. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s true, or we would have elected Mitt last time, Santorum should have done better if there were a larger segment of these Red State voters. One reason the portion of true conservatives has shrunk so far is the many laws that or now in effect, mandating more lenient behavior, whether we like it or not.

His point is that people SHOULDN'T have their businesses shut down because they oppose gay marriage.

It’s all a part of the “can’t we all just get along” part of the new world order and one world religion.

Huh? Why would Christians ever want to elect a bishop in a cult that has completely distorted who Jesus is and what salvation means.

And Mitt was calling for boy scouts to admit gays, and he stacked his state judiciary with gay activists.

Your post makes no sense at all.

Alcohol and profanity is not an ABOMINATION.

Sorry Huckleberry, you’ve jumped the megalodon.

It's time to elect a Christian president. Christians are the only people brave enough to talk about the taboo issues that are killing America.

Vote for Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

You are right. I reference that in my post #6. Per the grand old tradition, I posted and then read the article, and had to post again.

I'm not a Huck fan, but in this case he is trying in his soft way to make a very good point. People should be tolerant of one another, and part of being tolerant means you don't shut their businesses down just because they won't abandon their 2000 year old religious beliefs.

Libs read this thinking he is comparing homosexuality to horrible things and therefore he is a nut.

Conservatives read this thinking he is comparing homosexuality to somewhat normal things and therefore he is a nut.

Reading the posts to this point makes me wonder if some here don’t have a reading comprehension problem: the Huckster was clearly saying that, like alcohol or classical music do not appeal to him, neither does the gay lifestyle.

Disclaimer: I think a President Huckabee would be an unmitigated disaster, almost as bad as electing an inexperienced Kenyan...

I’m glad he’s no longer preaching this crap from the pulpit. This kind of stuff comes out of The Pit.

Doesn’t matter what he said. He’s a Republican, and possible presidential candidate. The left is going to crucify him for breathing.

In the past, Huckabee compared gays to drug abusers. Huckabee is now toning down his rhetoric. Still, the gay rights are still angry. Pier Morgan, remember him? Tweeted that Huckabee’s statements this morning are repulsive.

It’s more appropriate to compare gay “marriage” to unicorns and leprechauns. They are all fictional, and pretending they are real does not change reality.
