Mr. Davis witnesses a stabbing in his home. He calls the police. The police arrive and shoot his dog (really). Mr. Davis hears the dog being shot and thinks the man with the knife is back, this time with a gun. Mr. Davis grabs his own gun for self-defense. The police shoot Mr. Davis.
Police version:
Mr. Davis refused to drop his gun when the police arrived. So he was shot.
So what's the moral here? Don't have a gun? Don't call the police? Call the police, then "shelter in place"?
The cops are more and more likely to be nervous idiots. If you do have a gun, for heavens sake be discreet about it.
Never ever call the police for anything.
Refused to drop the gun. If that is true, that is why he is deceased. Case closed.
The important thing is the officers got home safely for dinner that night.
