As the Department of Defense considers the question, former Navy SEAL Ray Cash Care says he has an answer: Hell no.
A few weeks ago, it was reported in Navy Times that the Department of Defense will make a decision on opening the SEAL and SWCC ranks to women in January of 2016. If the DoD decides in favor of allowing women, the Navy would then notify Congress by July 1, and Congress would then have 30 working days to respond with any concerns. I'd like to jump ahead of Congress, save them some trouble and tell them right here, right now that this is a terrible idea. Concerns? I have many. Now before anyone gets too bent out of shape, understand that this doesn't come from a "women should stay home and be housewives" mentality. From Navy divers to Explosive Ordinance Disposal up to fighter pilots, women's role in the military is crucial to the success and duration of America. I have nothing but admiration for the contributions women make to the defense of our great nation. But I do not think the SEAL teams should allow women. BUD/S, which stands for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training, is the most physically and psychologically grueling schooling a man can go through. My class began with over 120 men. Of that, 16 originals graduated, with some additional guys who were in from other classes who were delayed due to injuries. There's an 80% attrition rate at BUD/S, and that is rounding down.

What if nothing....There isn’t a female on the planet that could endure BUD/s. The best and most insane cross fitter female triathlete would not come close to finishing BUD/s
NO!!!
Any society that sends its women to fight before it sends its cane-borne old men and non-shaving boys deserves to be destroyed, and will be by societies that do not make that mistake.
During WWII, we had nearly 10% of the entire population of this country in uniform, mostly male. Given that males are half the population, that’s roughly 20% of the male population.
We still didn’t send women to fight.
If we didn’t do it then, there’s no reason to do it now.
I don’t have a problem with it as long as she can pass the training.
Women? Ha! What about a transgender?
If they can hack being a SEAL for three weeks out of a month, why not?
Lol...... I don’t have a clue what BUDS is or are and you are probably right but have you ever seen Serena Williams, her delts ( steroid induced) are formidable. LOL
If the average SEAL was Bobby Riggs and the recruit was Billie Jean King Maybe. Otherwise no way. :-)
LOL!! Good one.
Hell No.
The question isn’t “should” women be a seal....it’s can she earn the right to be a seal....
Can’t very well be part of a line nut to butt when parts are missing.
If she can go through the course, why not. Didn’t Demi Moore do it?
Very few MEN have what it takes to become a SEAL.
The same question should be asked: should women play Major League Baseball?
If they can throw a splitter 95 mph and hit a 101 mph fastball, hell yes.
But the fact is there are NO women who can do that.
Only about 1 in a million MEN can.
If there is a woman who can meet the present requirements WITHOUT LOWERING THE STANDARDS, and no woman could do that.
I love this nonsense. Women seals? We are told women can fight on the front lines, they can be cops, and fire fighters, and any number of jobs that require physical stamina. But punch one in an elevator and all hell breaks loose.
We could use a few good women to castrate the Caliphate and wrap them in bacon.
I agree with you and I am a woman. We are not warriors.
No, not just no but HELL NO!!!!!!
