Mitt Romney announced Friday he will not run for president in 2016, after briefly flirting with a third White House run -- a decision that only slightly narrows the crowded field of potential Republican candidates.
"After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I've decided it's best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to become our next nominee," Romney told donors on a conference call Friday morning.
The announcement comes after the 2012 GOP nominee, who repeatedly denied interest in another campaign, surprised donors earlier this month by telling them he was considering it.
Since then, the former Massachusetts governor spent three weeks calling donors and strategists and giving a handful of addresses, including to a Republican National Committee summit. But while some from his former campaign team were willing to wait for his decision, others were already gravitating toward the budding campaign of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

Wrong, if you had paid attention than you would have heard him say numerous times last year that he wasn’t going to run.
One person that itches to run is Trump and he is the very last person I would even consider to vote for. He is nothing but a RINO. Do a search on him as to how many times he changed his party affiliation

We all lose...The election process has been totally undermined and corrupted. Takes 200++ million to run for potus in today’s America...All the insiders bankrolling the campaign payrolls want have their own private agendas...on and on.
I considered running but decided why waste the effort, my chances of winning are higher if I DON’T run.

But it sure feels good emotionally -- it's very gratifying for the person who votes knowing he's voted wrong but needs to justify it. I know. I've been there ... finally woke up.

Unfortunately, I also didn't believe what they said about Bruce Jenner, so I'm back to zero.
Even Trump would not be as bad as Hillary, but he’s not going to win the Republican nomination. If he does run he could create enough chaos to weaken whoever it is that does win the nomination and make it easier for the Democrat to win.
