MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - "American Sniper" is tops at the box office but don't expect to see former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura lining up at a theater for it.
Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, won $1.8 million in a defamation lawsuit last year against the estate of the late Chris Kyle, the SEAL protagonist of the movie, which has sparked debate over whether snipers should be considered heroes. Ventura said Wednesday he won't see the film partly because Kyle is no hero to him.

Assuming you had read his book, you would have noticed that Kyle didn't mention Ventura by name. Why do you suppose that was? Could it be that if the event never occurred, Kyle would have been guilty of slander? Of course it would......
It wasn't until his book signing tour that Kyle made the claim that the guy he punched out in that now proven false bar fight was Jesse Ventura........Unfortunately that was his big mistake, the slander was now on public record and Ventura was obligated to clear his name by whatever means necessary.
And a court of law vindicated him........
Kyle's accomplishments in Iraq were already verified by military documentation and he should have left it at that. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, he chose to embellish his legendary status by claiming events that nobody has been able to substantiate..........

You obviously did not read the court transcripts. And don’t even try to infer the judgment says so, as the judgment did not in any way resolve that issue.
The following statement from Kyle doesn't indicate something he had "heard"..
Chris went on to tell me that the bulk of the guys he knew directly had racked up over thirty kills between them near and around the Super Dome.
Whatever, I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with anyone over this guy, I merely posted the facts and let you draw your own conclusions.........
$1.8 million judgment in favor of Ventura..........that's all anyone needs to know.

Blackwater was all over this place. I was here and met several.
They were posted at all FEMA satellite offices to protect workers when people found out they weren’t receiving what they thought they should.
In the first two weeks after the storm, police removed their light bubbles from their cars because they were being targeted by bad guys. Remember there was no power and moonlight made them obvious targets.
And yes, contracted mercenaries were here taking out threats to the general populace and law enforcement. Yes, random fires etc. were seen in buildings with no known occupants that could hide evidence of the threats being eliminated. Don’t be naive.
Our official military service has to have some form of cover and Blackwater provided that. Jarvis you need to read the book, Chris didn’t take credit for those kills. Doesn’t mean they didn’t happen!

You're trying to tell me that according to Kyle, 30 civilian looters were killed and there was not one mention from the MSM of these shootings on the part of either military snipers or "contractors".?
How do you prevent the MSM, typically anti govt, from reporting on these alleged killings and who was around to silence the expected outcries from the families who lost their loved ones to these snipers?

Multiple witness’s testified either that they saw Kyle punch Ventura (2 SEAL buddies of Kyle) plus a woman who was there for her friend’s wake. She also testified that Ventura said A few SEALS needed to die or words to that effect. It was a SEAL bar and everyone was drunk on their azz so a dream scenario for Ventura’s attorneys’.

Bottom line is that for the last 7 years I have been in country and have never heard from locals about 30 killed from the SD.
But have heard plenty of wild stuff unrelated.
