Sorry, but my Samsung Galaxy does things no iPhone can do. Apple was once a product which had no competition, but that was long ago.

I also hate the way Apple controls how you can do everything. My wife bought an iPad.....no flash was available for it even though most of the web at the time was Flash. They give consumers no choice; it is my device, if I want Flash, and the possibility of the bad things associated with it (and I do) then I should at least be able to flip a switch to turn it on. But Apple does not give consumers that choice.

Likewise, you need to go through iTunes to move files. I hate that. I want to drag and drop just like in Windows.

You couldn’t pay my to buy an Apple product at this time. All the more for the fanboys.

Then how come Samsung is losing out big-time to Apple?

Steve Jobs ... regarding Flash ...

Thoughts on Flash

ALSO ... are you going to quit using YouTube since they have decided to eliminate Flash from their videos?

What Steve Jobs did ... the rest of the market would follow, and do so much later ... :-) ...

As Steve Jobs stated at the time the iPad came out. . . Flash is the vector for 60% of malware to find its way on to computers. It also is an energy HOG. . . and refuses to play nice. Just this week Adobe announced a ZERO day vulnerability in FLASH that allowed for the remote taking over of both Windows 7 and 8 and OS X computers by malicious hackers AND there were already EXPLOITS in the wild for Windows 7 and 8! Adobe pushed a patch for those Windows users who had turned on auto-update. . . BUT NOT for people who had elected to do Flash updates manually. . . those they did not post for over a week!!!! (No exploits were in the wild for OS X!)

Android phones and tablets that supported Flash depleted their batteries rapidly because of Flash. This continued until Google dropped official support for Flash.

There are browsers that will play Flash on iPhones and iPads (Skyfire, Puffin, Chrome, to name a few). . . but they are not officially supported for Flash and will never be for the above reasons. . . but Apple makes them available on the App Store. That is choice.

If you can "drag and drop files" then you are opening your device just like Android devices to the millions of malware that are out there for Android and Windows . . . because you cannot do that on an iPhone or iPad, there are ZERO malware for iOS iPhones and iPads. You may hate the minor inconvenience, but most users HATE the malware eliminating your inconvenience would allow a hell of a lot more.

What you want makes the device unsafe to use. It's what makes Android a nest of malware forcing Android users to have to run AV and worry about ID theft, and prevents Android from making inroads into the Enterprise markets. Which would you prefer? Some inconvenience in moving files, of having your identity stolen and my money stolen simply because Red in Blue PA and a few others want to move their files easily??? I chose keeping my money in my bank!

APPLE STINKS that way. I have always used Sansa products for MP3 listening. But a friend asked me to set up and explain how her ipod works. I was amazed you had to use itunes to move music files from your computer to the ipod. I despise controlling crap like this. Look at all the little sheeple going to the itunes store. I will never buy music or anything from itunes and have never had to

My little Sansa clip is smaller and better than any stinking ipod
