Talk about a fierce frown from FLOTUS! Michelle Obama's disapproving expression while meeting the new leader of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, Jan. 27, said it all -- and it's gone viral.
The First Lady, 51, was snapped alongside her husband Barack Obama in Riyadh, paying respects to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the successor of the late King Abdullah, during what was a quick stop in the country for the funeral. As King Salman shook hands with the President, the First Lady was photographed frowning at the royal.
At times, she looked rather uncomfortable and annoyed, even, as she and her husband met with Saudi officials.

That's been my assertion as well, sorta. Obama and FLOTUS have been sorely inconsistent with their conformance to national customs. He bows to this leader, hugs that one, takes selfies with leaders here, wears neon suits and plays soccer with a robot there.... There is no dignitiy in anything they do. So every act is presumed to send a message and subject to interpretation.
They are too stupid to manage a lemonade stand. And they have surrounded themselves with likeminded and folks of lessser intenlligence than even themselves. So they may always make sure they are the smartest people in the room, it should be expected that kindergartners would make adequate advisors for them.
Or, maybe she’s Shiite. We won’t know until she’s done her press event with ISIL.

I honestly believe a frown is her default facial expression.
I worked at a place where the head was an extreme lefty woman. She never smiled. When riding around in a car reviewing contractors work, there was a perpetual scowl on her face and all the workers assumed she was dissatisfied and angry. She treated her employees no different.
I knew other lefties that never smiled.
My point is, it’s her natural look, she’s a very unhappy person not capable of a neutral expression or even faking happiness when she probably should.
I get the reference. Clever. Still, that had to be hard for your to type. lol
I’m glad she didn’t wear the veil. However for a state event, especially something related to the death of a leader, her dress is significantly too informal.
Muslims buy and sell women like her every day.
I agree with her not wearing head covering, but I don’t agree with her choice of outfit. I think she should have worn a black outfit, with a subdued or no pattern. It was supposed to be a solemn occasion. I read translations of several comments left on the articles about this and only a few mentioned her not having head covering. All of them that I read said her clothes were not appropriate, some stated her outfit would have been fine if it had been all black. There are pictures of Laura Bush in a solid black pantsuit in S.A. and I remember no criticism- and she wore no head covering.
The looney left is pushing the idea that she was making a statement in support of women, I don’t agree with that even if true. There is a time and place for everything and if she just had to make a statement she should not have gone with Obama on this visit to pay respect of a leader’s death.

Remember when the press compared her to Jackie Kennedy when the Obamas first came on the scene? I had to laugh at that one! It all comes down to class. Jackie had it in spades and Michelle has none IMHO.

You are absolutely correct. She and Barrack were guests in Saudi Arabia and there was no need to stick a thumb in the new leadership’s eyes.!
