A world critical of gun control in the U.S.

The polarizing topic of gun control in the U.S. is once again in the national and world spotlight as gun manufacturer PARA USA calls for a boycott of the film Taken 3. The film’s lead actor, Liam Neeson, told a reporter last week that he felt there were too many guns in America. During the interview he added, “Every week now we’re picking up a newspaper and seeing ‘Yet another few kids have been killed in schools.’”

While the debate over the constitutionality of gun control laws rages, Neeson’s comment exemplifies the critical view of the rest of the world on gun control in the U.S. Nations such as France, Germany, the U.K. and Australia have strict gun control laws that make it difficult for anyone to own firearms. Political scientists and politicians say that is something not likely to change despite the recent attacks on the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris.

He isn’t the only one by any means. Danny Glover made quite a career out of blowing bad guys away and lecturing us all about guns after he got through counting his pay.

Can I suggest to the rest of the world that the citizens of the United States are in large part descendants of people who moved away from your your various countries to America because they really didn’t like how you ran things at home. So why on earth would they listen to you on how to run things in the country they move to to get away from you?

...but they’ll kill abandon their grandmothers to come here and live.

I wouldn't put that past any 'actor' sitting on a personal fortune made from acting in movies featuring gun violence...

And Stallone shoulda stuck to porn--him and Streisand both. Eew!

;)

Considering that the majority of the rest of the world has few indidual rights, their opinion means squat to me.

That is like asking a democrat what they think about something, useless.

Governments are critical of the US Gun Policy. We understand there is tyranny. That is what the declaration of Independence is all about. Bureaucrats know they can only go so far in areas that there are reasonable gun laws... Those ‘other countries’ citizens know the same stuff, but they are fed Bandini to keep them under control.

Yeah, he knows what he is talking about. (is a sarcasm tag really needed?)

Bill Whittle: NUMBER ONE WITH A BULLET.

Very informative video on how the US has the most guns per capita, but its murder rate only ranks #111 out of 218 countries). It's even lower if you exclude Democrat-run cities with strict gun control laws, like Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, etc.)and replace them with the same murder rate statistic as the "gun nut capital" of America, Plano, TX.)

Hmmm. Can’t decide which brain trust to put my money on. This assclown telling us about guncontrol or leo de crapio telling us about glow-bull discombobulation from his rented mega yacht.

There are too many foreigners eager to accept our money, but not our values.

Methinks a 10 year moratorium on all immigration and work visas is in order.

Let’s see.

What if you lived under a government that was taxing everything made? Fine?

Well, what if you had a religion and religious view that the government said you couldn’t have and threatened you with incarceration? You could take it?

What if you got together with a few friends who shared your beliefs but, not the government’s and the government said “Verboten” still good with that?

Now, imagine the same government who says “You didn’t build that!” And the government has the right to limit your associations, your speech and every medium you use to express your thoughts.

That’s paper, stone, tv, radio, internet, billboards and more.

Now, imagine yourself saying “WTF?”

Your government responds with “Yeah. Yer FK’d. Oh and send us more of the monies we taxed you for. Here’s the bill”

“Wait. You aren’t representing me nor imoroving anything around here with all that money. We pay for imorovements above and beyond the obligations you have us under”.

“No problem. We’ve outlawed thise activities and will do it for you. When we get around to it. Shouldn’t cost too much much. We have better buying power. So shut up and get back to work”

“Hey! We object! You’re taking our money, spying on us, telling us who we can hangout with, what we cannot say, oir religious views are counter to the Parliament and yours?”

“We know what’s best for you...”

“Uhmmm, get out my life”

“Make me...”

“Really?”

“Yeah. What are you going to do against the most powerful armed force in the world?”

“Well, for starters we just kicked every soldier off our property”

“Can’t be having insurrections”

“Well, how’s about your people and mine do lunch and discuss this. Maybe we can meet on the Green...”

See you there, proletariats...

What was that loud noise????

I try to exclude myself from any of those dem run hell holes. Just added New Orleans due to their progressive approach to ban smoking. Happy to say that our county is #41 for most well armed nationwide. Not sure how they know that cause nobody asked me. Then again, since the canoe accident........

RE Neeson:

I’m done with him. “Fookin’” hypocrit.
He’s happy being a “subject”.

Israeli commentator, Tzipi Shmilovitz, was very critical of the United States’ gun control laws when he said, “America is not ready to talk about how it is easier to get a handgun than it is to see a doctor… It is just willing to sweep up everything under the carpet of tears.”

Total B.S.

It isn't. If I call "911" with chest pain, I'll be seeing a doctor much sooner than I can possibly purchase a handgun.

What I find extremely amusing is that not only does this made on violence millionaire use guns in his movies, but many of those movies involve extreme gun violence in countries other than America.
