Don’t worry. All traffic on the east coast will grind to a halt, or slide to a halt, cutting off CO2 at its source and the temperature should plummet rapidly. Problem solved. World saved.

Just imagine how the forecast would read if the interglacial warm period ended. 10 inches of ice on Monday followed by 12 feet of snow on Tuesday. Now that will something to panic about.

Yeah we got 13 inches in one storm in Amarillo Texas last week. Set the record for most snow from one storm in that city. So yeah, conditions are ripe. Exactly what you would expect at the tail end of a weak solar maximum in the middle of a cooling trend. Some solar energy, in the form of evaporated water, combining with a cold front. Short term energy plus long term cooling equals bang, record snow.

I think you mean strikes.

A salient feature of the newest claims of global warming is a number of pockets of ocean that show higher surface air temperatures.

Surface, as in superficial. These are influenced by the surface water temperatures, which are warmer than normal. Nobody has bothered to check what lies beneath.

Philadelphia area may get around a foot or so tonight through Tuesday.
The overnight snow fall was very light. I have perhaps an inch and a
half on the car windshield. In a few hours that is going to change however.
