One poll suggested Syriza took 35.5% of the votes, and the other suggested it took 39.5%, well ahead of ruling New Democracy party on 23%-27%.

It is unclear whether Syriza has enough votes to govern the country alone.

Syriza's Alexis Tsipras has pledged to renegotiate Greece's debt arrangement with international creditors....

The party of austerity usually loses, despite that it is the only solution.

The party of letting the good times roll wins.

Until the disaster.

Expect more of the same here in 2016, but we get to print money. Greece does not.

As I asked on another thread: why are the Greeks so radically left wing? Why have they been so for so long?

Whatever happened to the anti-Communists of '47-'48 and the supporters of Papadopoulos?

In a schaudenfreud way I hope they won and follow through with their leftist plans. The world needs an example of what misery the left can impose on it’s own people.

I guess Venezuela isn’t enough.

The USA under Obama is enough for me.

First, what austerity in Greece? Has anybody seen their budget cut? Look at the numbers.

Second, good. Let the Greeks bury themselves in communism. Their glorious past is ancient history. The entire country is a welfare queen.

Central planners never err. Just look what they’ve done for the Soviet Union, North Korea and Chicago Illinois.

Obama’s Democrat economy is growing because the rest of the world is moving backwards.

I guess Venezuela isn’t enough.

The USSR wasn't enough. Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Romania weren't enough.

There will never be enough, because stupidity has an inelastic supply curve.

Absolutely correct. It will never be enough because "up to now they didn't do it right."
