Taunting of Muslims a form of fanaticism
The satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has published yet another new cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad (Page 8A, Jan. 18). Supposedly, the purpose is to taunt the so-called Muslim fanatics and to show that the sacred right of free expression will not be compromised. These cartoonists are going overboard. They know that every time a cartoon about the Prophet Muhammad is published, the feelings of more than a billion Muslims are hurt, there are protest demonstrations all over the Muslim world, some fanatics resort to violence, almost always some human lives are lost, and a deep anger against the West results. Wouldn't it be sensible and thoughtful to show respect to the Muslim world and avoid making blatant fun of their prophet, whom they so deeply and dearly love? Keeping on insisting on the right of free expression without any regard to the known and tragic consequences is also a kind of fanaticism.

Take your virgins with ya...
The fact that Muslims riot and murder over a cartoon — is reason enough to keep publishing it.
Just wait until the next attack by Islamic terrorists on this nation, Waheed. Let’s just put it this way. Keep your suitcase packed and cash in your pocket.
A fed up American.
Zero credibility, guys. ZERO.
Yet, the taunting of US Christians and Conservatives is completely normal; indeed, it is actively encouraged by the Democrat Party.
The Quran offends me.
I sincerely doubt that a billion Muslims can even read a cartoon.
I guess I’m just an old, unrepentant fanatic.
IOW, don’t make us hurt you.
Time for Mohammed to grow some skin.
Taunting? Sheesh.
What’s worse? Head-chopping or taunting? Muzzle skin is thinner than Obamas. Er, wait a sec...
And, so, the San Jose Mercury News is telling us...that sentimentalism should rule the day...
If you put out truth that, say, the UFO cult in San Diego was a cult, you might have prevented some suicides...but, hey, those suicides' feelings might have been hurt presuicide.
Or, what if more people had told the truth about Jones operating in the Bay Area and his consequential Jonestown? Nope. Would have hurt some feelings. Keep it to yourself.
And, hey, don't tell Satanists they are barking up the occultic tree. (Might hurt some feelings)
Or, if the Scientologists nonsense about "clearing" and how people came from about planet is likewise nonsense...wouldn't want to hurt their feelings now, would we?
Naturalized citizens take an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. IMO, anyone who wants Sharia law in this country, or doesn’t want the right of free speech to apply to everyone, does not support the Constitution. Their citizen rights should be stripped and they should be deported.
I’m surprised he didn’t say “Taunting of Muslims a form of terrorism.”
What is the beheading of “infidels” a form of?
Read the funny comments.
My feelings are hurt every time the Quran is mentioned. Especially the Surahs that call for the forceful submission of all non-Muslims. That said, I am still in favor of allowing the crapulous mass of nonsense to be read so that men may know the true nature of Islam, Allah, and his prophet Mohammed (pig excrement be upon him).
