Donald Trump slams Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush as possible presidential candidates at GOP event

The Donald doesn’t think much of Mitt or Jeb.

Donald Trump came out guns blazing at a high-profile GOP event in Iowa on Saturday — blasting possible presidential contenders Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush.

“It can’t be Mitt, because Mitt ran and failed. He failed,” Trump bellowed, drawing cheers from the riled-up audience at the Freedom Summit.

“He choked. He had that election won.”

Trump was equally blunt in assessing former President George W. Bush’s younger brother.

“You can’t have Bush,” Trump said. “The last thing we need is another Bush.”

Do they -really- not realize that the country simply will not elect another Bush? This isn’t just cranks like me. Fair or unfair, the name is a negative all by itself. That’s a lot of why we got Obama, is because people got to where they hate Bush.

What is true here, is that the Media in this country will be negative towards anyone running as the Republican candidate.

What we need is someone who has run the vindictive course before. I can think of only one person: Gov. Sara Palin.

I suspect when she finally decides to run, she will literally suck all the air out of the room. She is the one we’ve been waiting for all along.

I understand why you would say that we will never elect another Bush, but, don’t bet too much money on that assumption. There is a lot of time remaining in this nomination and election process. I say all bets are off because of 2012. I never thought Obama would be re-elected.

Even given that there was very likely voter fraud in O’s favor, the race should not have even been that close.
What was it Sen. Edwards said (before all The Troubles), he said we are living in Two Americas. More and more, that seems to be true, at least two, possibly eight or more Balkanized states of living.

The Donald is correct - Mitt choked - he did have that election won - then sat back on his heels while he listened to the so-called experts, who advised him to go soft after that first debate. It was like watching the air escape from a balloon - it was a pitiful thing to watch.

“The last thing we need is another Bush.”

Or Jeb rather. What we need is Trump in the White House.

Blasting Mitt and Jeb is shooting fish in a barrel. Really doesn’t take much of a shot now does it?

The race has just started but —I think Trump is right here. I liked Mitt is some ways, but maybe we need to look beyond the last race for someone new. I like Ted Cruz when he spoke—he had the Passion. Sarah Palin—not so much.

You liked Mitt? And Sarah not so much? Really?

You took a hard left turn right there and skidded right off the track.

Game over.... Thanks for playing.

It's insanity, so you know it's coming from the left.

I don't think we'll elect a first Trump either.

then he (Romney) sat back...experts...advised him to go soft

That might be the case. If it is, it showed that he'd be a terrible president. He didn't have the instincts to understand that conservatives never quite trusted him, and going soft made us realize he wouldn't stand up for our principles. For the undecided, going soft meant he didn't create a vision of a better future. He didn't have advisors that would lead him to inspiring an excellent constitutional conservative message.

Or maybe for the likes of Romney, Jed, and Christie, and all the others who regard constitutional conservatives as voting fodder, we are the enemy to be defeated.

I kinda think it would be interesting to watch Hillary go after Sarah in the meanest most evil way .... Sarah could just do nothing and allow her to expose herself for the witch she is.

I think Sarah most of all could kill the beast with a thousand little jabs .... And/or just keep her so perpetually wobbly that she’d just finally fall over.

It really would be great to watch.

But what it takes is for the American right to support her — wholeheartedly — no one can do it alone...

Speaking of Christie, he ensured Obama's reelection with that hugging and gushing after Sandy.

Bromance!

Republican voters need to be always mindful of this and keep Christie out of any race.

Nominating Jeb Bush would be a disaster for the GOP. The Democrats would just bring out all the anti Bush propaganda they used to elect Obama
