GOP leaders to grant Obama 'enormous' new power

He’s already boasted of wielding power through a pen and a phone. Now President Obama wants to add a rubber stamp to his desk set – and the rubber stamp would be named “U.S. Congress.”

Buried in his State of the Union address, Obama said he will ask Congress to give him “trade promotion authority.”

He didn’t say what trade promotion authority would do. But critics charge that it would cede the Republican majority’s control of the congressional agenda to Obama and strip Congress of its ability to vet and amend international agreements.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., acknowledges Obama is asking for is “an enormous grant of power, obviously, from a Republican Congress to a Democratic president.”

Yet McConnell and other GOP leaders in the House and Senate apparently are ready to surrender constitutional powers to the White House.

Might be lynching time for Mitch.

It’s way past lynching time for all of them. It’s now to the point where they don’t even pretend anymore. Obama is a dictator. All that’s left is for the republicans to officially announce it.

The real question is, what the hell has he got on them?

Whatever happened to ‘elections have consequences’? I mean, did November happen, or was I just hallucinating?

I was thinking the same thing when Roberts signed off on Obamacare. All I could think of was: NSA

In the past I used to think “they are there in D.C., and know what is going on, and I don’t.”, but I don’t think that way anymore. I believe just as the Democrat party was taken over by the radical Left, the radical Left has compromised the GOP, and are in actuality the “establishment” incognito no more.

“Incognito no more”

Nothing. They’re doing this willingly.

Unlikely. Roberts did what he did willingly. If he had a backbone, no amount of blackmail could save Obama.

I really should say “a conscience” rather than backbone. Types like Roberts and McConnell certainly have backbone when it comes to attacking conservatives and especially conservative principles.

America is screwed. It will never survive and will one day turn into ashes. It is being killed by the Federal Government slowly but surely. Most of the sick popular GOP can do is talk and meanwhile the communists are in total power. Said it for years that King Obama is America’s dictator and try to dispute that.

Congress has already ceded far too much power to the executive branch over the decades

One day in the future, the Omnibus bill passed in December will be known for what it was and is. It is O
Hussein’s Enabling Act. Not much matters after that action. It’s done. All that remains is consolidation and then the killing.

Whatever happened to ‘elections have consequences’?

That was back when people running for office needed their constituents in order to succeed in office. That is not true now.

Pray tell, what is the advantage of having the Stupid Party vs. the Nasty Party in the majority?

Elections only have [bad] consequences if you’re a conservative or otherwise honest and sane.

Yeah, while we watch the political dog and pony show the NWO is being set up before our eyes. It's actually the Far Left and the Far Right who are strongly against this. This is the corporatist coup-de-grace, and obama, Hillary and the Gop-E are all in. Reagan was the last anti NWO President.
