Sarah Palin: ‘Of course’ interested in 2016 White House bid
Politico ^ | 01/23/2015 | KENDALL BREITMAN

Posted on 01/23/2015 12:06:09 PM PST by GIdget2004

Sarah Palin is “of course” interested in running for president in 2016, she said in an interview released Friday, and hopes to see a woman in the Oval Office. “Yeah, I mean, of course, when you have a servant’s heart, when you know that there is opportunity to do all you can to put yourself forward in the name of offering service, anybody would be interested,” Palin told ABC News in the interview, which was conducted on Thursday in Las Vegas.

And, hinting at her own interest in potentially joining the race, she suggested that gender might drive her involvement. “America has had enough of seeing that sign on the Oval Office door saying, ‘No Girls Allowed.’ I know that,” she said. While she “doesn’t necessarily” have run, she is “happy to drive the competition.”

Palin’s comments come one day before she is expected to attend the Iowa Freedom Summit, a gathering hosted by Rep. Steve King that will bring several potential Republican presidential contenders to the early caucus state. hosted by King (R-Iowa). Others on the guest list include New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

“Big competition, and that competition in the GOP … will surface that candidate who can take on Hillary, be ready for Hillary and show the nation what it is going to take to get the country back on the right track — because we can’t afford status quo, because status quo lately has been Latin for, ‘We are getting screwed,’ and status quo has got to go,” she said.

You’re probably correct, Mr Reichley.

Bears repeating:

Hey RNC: "I think Palin on the ticket would be a good counter balance to Hillary (and it is time for a woman in the White House)."

“It’s not just the Patriots that are dealing with deflated balls!” - Sarah Palin

Maybe she was also referring to some posters here at FR??
(LOL!)
If she wants to run for President, she should!!

RUN SARAH, RUN!!!

If she runs in the primary, I’ll support her. If she loses the primary, I will support the next most conservative option available.

I won’t listen to anyone who tries to backstab her before the primaries and that means those on FR most of all.

She has my vote until she loses, not a second sooner.

All the backstabbers here on FR who have nothing positive to say need to have thier say, but after the primaries, NOT before!

I am a big fan of Palin. However, her best time to run was in 2012.

I hope she does not run in 2016. She will just be taking away votes from Ted Cruz. Ofcourse the RINO-crats are going to love that, and will be rootin' for her to run.

I disagree.

I very much hope they both get in early, and fight. Then whomever loses the lead early, drops out and throws their entire campaign to the other one.

Mind you, that means either one of them.

The winner, then picks the second-place person who just dropped out - as their running mate.

I can see Sarah starting out in the hunt for the Presidency and ending up on the ticket as the Vice President with Ted Cruz. That would set her up for the top of the ticket in 2024 (if Ted Cruz serves two terms). She will be 60 at that time, and well seasoned for the job. By the way, the Hildebeast will be 69 in 2016. If she serves two terms, she will be 77. Ronald Reagan was 78 when he left office. I am not sure if the Hildebeast has the fitness of health to serve two terms.

"Ship has sailed."

Sarah has been out keeping her name before the public on FOX and now, the Sportsman Channel. Check out Momma Grizzly's new show on the Sportsman Channel:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=1J-il4ELDH8

Sarah would not have that show if her "ship has sailed."

So, get your TV tuned and watch the show.

I don’t beleive her intentions are to “Be” President. She’s made that clear numerous times, directly and indirectly. But I do think if she does enter the race it will be to garner votes she can hand over to the candidate she prefers....and that would be Cruz....

However, I’m not so sure there’s time as we need our guy out there and all of us behind him as soon as he thinks the timing is right for him......(It’s known those early out the gate are hammered right away to beat them out of the run.)

I think also if Sarah gets in, and likewise some others, it’s to garner those votes from the Rhinos....and we do need them to do that in order to let the GOP know we aren’t playing the same game they want us to.

....” She will just be taking away votes from Ted Cruz.”....

Maybe her running would guarantee those votes to Cruz because she surely would toss her hat over to him...and expect her voters to do likewise...and they likely would.

Oh come on. The Rats are what they are. They hate God and aren't afraid to say it. Republicans have been our most exigent threat since Reagan left office. We keep slavishly voting for them.

Palin would be a terrible candidate, a terrible president, and she annoys me. I was done with her after she endorsed McCain.
