Holder on the hot seat: Senators demand answers on U.S. fugitives in Cuba
The Washington Times ^ | January 23, 2015 | S.A. Miller

A group of Senate Republicans pressed Attorney General Eric H. Holder on Friday to explain the administration’s policy for U.S. fugitives in Cuba, including a convicted cop killer, following President Obama’s announced normalization of relations with the communist island nation.

“As the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, do you support the normalization of relations with Cuba without the return of fugitives from justice for prosecution who have the blood of Americans, including law enforcement officers on their hands?” said the three senators in a letter to Mr. Holder.

The letter was signed by Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Ted Cruz of Texas and David Vitter of Louisiana. Mr. Rubio and Mr. Cruz are Cuban Americans.

The senators demanded information about the number of U.S. criminals currently harbored by the Castro regime and the indictments against the fugitives, as well as Mr. Holder’s legal opinion on the plan to remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

They also demanded an explanation of Mr. Holder’s involvement in the decision to free three convicted Cuban spies, including one convicted of a murder conspiracy, from U.S. prison and transfer them to Cuba.

I’ll agree with that.

One can simultaneously hold two beliefs —
A dem (probably hillary) is likely be president in 2016 AND
We should fight like hell to prevent it.

Our chances of prevailing seem dire at the moment

Somehow we need to get a conservative that can persuade and draw masses of voters to offset dem dirty tricks. I think Cruz has to the potential to get it done but needs lots or organization and money.

Why didn’t they jail him? Better yet, why don’t they impeach him?

Congressional cowards again, eh?

Congress should issue letters of Marque and Reprisal for the assassination of Joanne Chesimard [criminal alias: Assata Shakur] and other "politicals" being protected by Cuba.

The Constitution explicitly grants this power to Congress in Article I. We don't need the President's signature, we don't need the President's approval, and we don't need to use any branch of the executive under the President's authority.

Congress needs to send the same message back to the President that he's sent to Congress: If you do not act, we will.

His replacement will be able to keep the Cartel going.

Not only is she as big a racist as Holder, she is also an Ent and a Chia Pet.

It’s just as if not more accurate to say a democrat is unlikely to win the presidency in 2016.

This is why I think it’s foolish at best and suspicious at worst to go around crying about it on a conservative website.

It’s the equivalent to what Bergdahl did on the battlefield.

You may laugh, but it could actually be true.

It’s not difficult to join a militia.
