Good is ALWAYS a relative term. Saudi royal family is better than ISIS. Lets hope it stays in their hands

I think I like The Kid better. Wonder if he’s the one building the Wall?

I'd prefer an infinitely bloody civil war across all of ummah, with the few pitiful survivors too weak, wounded, and demoralized to bother with the rest of the world.

But that's just me...

Wikipedia article states they claim they are built on seven hills.

I guess it comes from the times we all acted like ladies and gentlemen and tried to follow the protocols of other countries, while in them. And officials from other countries usually tried to do the same.

Obama has always been the oddball, apologizing, bowing and scraping to others and it hasn’t gained him a speck of respect. I agree with you about the respect being a two way thing.

Regarding the “Biblical” or prophetic conditions playing out in Saudi Arabia.

A few years back the then Iranian leader, Imadinnerjacket (or whatever)commissioned the release of a film about the 12th Imam for his Iranian audience.

It is important to note that the accuracy of the content of the film is not important. What is important is that there are people in the ME that believe it is true.

A few of the conditions necessary for the 12th Imam to arrive are the death of the Saudi King, the revolution in Yemen to name just two.

It was a long video that was translated (sub titled IIRC).

I’ll see if I can locate it.

Bottom line, Very scary stuff.

The hardest thing for the Saudis will be who gets to rule when the last son of the first King of Saud dies.
Do the sons of the new King get to rule? There are several hundred cousins to argue that they shouldn’t.

The guy is/was a certified dirt bag. He’s the direct cause of much damage in the world all the while smiling thru his tobacco stained teeth. It’s dissappointing that he survived to die a natural ( I guess) death and missed the throat-cutting that’s coming to his clan of inbreds. Piss be upon him and his tombstone.

He did seem to enjoy dressing up in that garb and Obama has acknowledged that, as a child in Indonesia, he did attend a Muslim school - which is called a ‘madrassa’.

Here’s some interesting things to consider about the New King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, 79.

The new king’s health has been a question of concern. He suffered at least one stroke that has left him with limited movement on his left arm. Some rumors he has Alzeheimer’s.

A veteran of the country’s top leadership, versed in diplomacy from nearly 50 years as the governor of the capital Riyadh.

Known as a mediator of disputes within the royal family.

Has been increasingly taken on the duties of the king over the past year as Abdullah became more incapacitated.

Salman had served as defense minister since 2011 and so was head of the military as Saudi Arabia joined the United States and other Arab countries in carrying out airstrikes in Syria in 2014 against the Islamic State, the Sunni militant group that the kingdom began to see as a threat to its own stability.

Saudi has been trying to navigate social pressures from a burgeoning youth population (over half the population of 20 million is under 25)...... increasingly testing boundaries of speech on the Internet where criticism of the royal family is rife.
