I recently came across an interview of Carl Sagan, who was selling the same two looming doomsdays. In 1991, 24 years ago. He was glib, smug, and wrong, and so are these latterday cassandras.

I had just seen that movie again recently, and when I saw that scene, I realized that it had been a long time since anyone had said something about the Doomsday Clock.

I agree that nuclear weapons in the hands of rogue nations like N. Korea or Iran as well as terrorists is a huge threat, but climate change. This is ludicrous.
