Washington (CNN)Mark it down as a rare win for House GOP moderates. Legislation should say you may only cry rape if you’ve reported it to the police and an investigation is underway. That would cut down on the cry rape problem...

Yeah, it's real "moderate" to allow little babies to be killed by injecting saline into their bodies, or cutting their heads off. It's illegal to do to animals what they're doing to unborn infants. Evil scum.

Nothing new under the sun. When will man learn?

Psalm 106

“...They even sacrificed their sons
And their daughters to demons,
And shed innocent blood,
The blood of their sons and daughters,
Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was polluted with blood...”

I’m glad you asked.

Actually very few pregnancies stem from rape. Not many more from incest. It’s just universally understood that women must never have to bear the child of her rapist and a young girl of 12 or so should not be forced to have her father’s baby.

All you need is one commercial of a little girl big with child with a sub text to the effect that the republicans think this baby should be forced to have a baby.

So they always exempt pregnancies allegedly caused by rape or incest.

Problem is..anyone can just say they were raped. You want an abortionin the ninth month you just say you were raped...maybe say you were held hostage.

So they require a police report and at this point it’s just to complicated.

I think it’s a bad Bill. Needs to be worked on.

Millions suffer from political battered voter syndrome.

Similar to battered wives syndrome, but in this case the vote gets repeatedly lied to, robbed and betrayed, but keeps coming back begging for more abuse.

I’m not sure it’s a safe assumption that in the absence of abortion on demand there would be all these “extra” people.
The climate of abortion OD is what allows so many people to not have to consider what the hell they are doing before having sex.
In Poland (and most other countries without AOD) there are very few unwanted pregnancies because people know abortion is not a secondary birth control option.
Just my two cents on the topic.

Then you would see random men accused of raping women they have never met or have only had incidental contact with. Similar to how some guys I know got hit with paternity suits by women they never dated or seen socially.

Yes, they got cleared. But it cost a lot of money, and one of my friends was let go from his job as a result (the company did not want to deal with the resulting blow to his reputation).

The two women? Well, they just went to the next name in the address book. One gal hit the same guy twice in different states.

So we now have Republican female reps who care more about what young women (who are most always liberal) than what their fellow Republicans believe in and stand for??

Who the hell let these people into the Republican house??

My husband and I made the choice not to seek abortion when I became pregnant with my now 27 yr old daughter. We weren’t married at the time.

We will now get to see her walk down the aisle at her wedding in June as she marries her fiancé and begins her life and future family.

This is a joy that we could have easily never experienced if we’d chose abortion, in addition to all the other countless moments of joy we’ve had raising her and our two sons. She is a wonderful, intelligent and very productive member of society. Believe me, I sacrificed a lot for this .... But it was so worth it!

I just ask ..... Why can’t we say to young women — we want you to have that joy .... We want you to keep your child and raise your family — so YOU will one day, despite your struggles — know that you made the BEST choice you could despite a tough circumstance. We want you to keep your child and grow to love that person .....

Instead we want to appease them. And appease these anti-life banshees who would rather see that everyone takes the easy way out and continues to destroy future Americans — people who may have brought joy to others and made a difference in the world.

Why do we allow ourselves to be so weak?? Why do we condone cowardice and selfishness?

I like your comments, "We are feckless when it comes to doing things right and a superpower when it comes to immorality."

May I borrow them?

With respect to my esteemed FReepers, being right about the gop faction of the uniparty isn’t all that difficult. Simply assume duplicity, cowardice, and betrayal at every turn and you won’t be too far off.

I would modify your observation. I think that our side has the potential to win, but not in the political realm. Ultimately we win not by reference to electoral politics, which is completely rigged against us, but by rendering electoral politics moot. So you mock, satirize, and make end runs.
