The Navy captain in charge of the naval station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has been fired and is being investigated in connection with an alleged affair with a woman on the base and the recent death of her husband, U.S. officials said Wednesday.
Capt. John R. Nettleton was relieved of duty Wednesday due to a loss of confidence in his ability to command, the Navy said in a press release.
The Navy would not comment on the details of the investigation. But U.S. officials said Nettleton is under investigation in connection with the death of Christopher Tur, who was found dead on Jan. 11. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation.
Tur, a civilian, was found dead in Guantanamo Bay waters on the western side of the base by the U.S. Coast Guard. He had been reported missing by his wife, also a civilian, the day before, officials said.

Odds are, everyone there is under the microscope because Obama wants to create a scandal, close the base, release the terrorists, and return the land to his buddy Castro.
At least he’s familiar with prison routine. Should be of help in his future.
This is so close to the typical NCIS script that I wouldn’t be surprised if an expert on the show could identify the episode.

Guantanamo Bay has new importance, now that Obama has a deal with Castro. The timing here is a bit suspicious.
Too bad the C.O. of the whole damn base obliged him by acting like a 2nd Lieutenant.

Obama is not going to shut down the prison at Gitmo. He’s going to give Gitmo back to the Cubans. It’s already a done deal.
I think ALL of us NEED to MAKE our congress critters aware of what WE

I suppose it could be a German name, but it is more likely Spanish or Jewish:

I checked a few German name lists and it doesn’t appear.
