CRUZ: I’M LOOKING AT 2016 VERY, VERY SERIOUSLY
Breitbart ^ | 1/19/2015 | Mathew Boyle

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells Breitbart News that he’s “very, very seriously” considering launching a presidential candidacy for 2016. Cruz adds that he thinks a bold conservative needs to win the GOP nomination next time around, or else he fears Democrats are likely to win the White House as they did in 2008 and 2012. “God bless South Carolina. South Carolina has historically played a critical role in helping select Republican presidential nominees,” Cruz said in an interview here at the state’s Tea Party Coalition Convention: South Carolina’s central role has been ensuring that we nominate a strong conservative. And when Republicans nominate a strong conservative with a positive, optimistic vision, we win. It’s the pathway to victory. So I’m thrilled to be here in South Carolina. You asked about 2016? It’s something I’m looking at very, very seriously. I got to tell you, the encouragement, the expressions of support that we’ve been receiving have been breathtaking. I’ve spent the day just meeting with grassroots activists, sitting here at roundtables with Republican women, with Tea Party leaders, with small business owners, with young people—answering their questions, listening to their concerns. The support we’re seeing at the grassroots but also at the financial level, the support we’re seeing from donors who recognize what we’re doing isn’t working and we’ve got to change paths. Really it’s been humbling and it’s been overwhelming. When asked if politicians Washington—both the Republican establishment and the Democrats, including Obama—missed the point of the midterm elections, Cruz replied simply “yes.”

In a perfect world, I’d wave a magic wand and make [Cruz] president TODAY. He isn’t electable. Simple as that.

I believe you are in for a big surprise...

Trains will never exceed 21 mph because everyone on board will suffocate. Don't even get me started on a bomb-throwing, firebrand, extremest like Reagan.

“legal immigration” includes the tens or hundreds of thousands of Muslim “refugees” the UN sends here.

I’m sure he’s running, but I wish he’d make a formal declaration sooner rather than later.

I think the first item is to lock up Iowa (yes I hate these inconsequential states having the electoral power they do) with Ron Paul’s base which will then precede him to the other states. Getting Rand to decide not to run is the first step.

Reagan was a conservative politician but he had two other things going for him. 1980 and ‘84 were some of the last elections with a large number of voters from the WWII era of maturity. They had grown up with Reagan and others as film icons — they knew and recognized him as a solid individual.

He was an excellent communicator in the TV media sound byte — not the Cruz as an excellent debater can’t be one, but he hasn’t shown it yet.

The argument that if we have a pure conservative like Cruz being an equivalent of Reagan will give us a Reagan landslide automatically is a non sequitur.

I dunno, Americans are realizing that sleeping with zero’s marxist Left is leaving them with 10X the economic, cultural, defense STDs that Carter gave them after they got in bed with him in the 70s.

Keep as many Conservatives in Congress as possible without redirecting them to serve the Executive. They are needed in Congress.

President Raphael Edward “Ted” Cruz
Vice-President Newt Gingrich
Secretary of State John Bolton
Secretary of Defense Sarah Palin
Secretary of Treasury James “Jim” Demint
Department of Justice Attorney General Joseph Arpaio
Secretary of Veterans Affairs (Any decorated veteran having served and suffered in combat with endorsements from fellow members of the military and Congress)

The other departments: Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, HHS, HUD, Transportation, Energy, Education, Homeland Security, all need restructuring and reduction or elimination (Education).

The above team will allow many Conservatives to have more peace of mind.

And one last thing: obtain from Presidential Candidate Cruz a commitment to support the Article V Convention of States to balance the powers between the federal government and states.

Do it right, Sen. Cruz. Get the smartest people in the country behind you (fly to Stanford right away - Dr. Sowell’s gonna need some convincing). Have a master media strategy because they are completely fighting fit and ready to Palinize you as stupid or crazy or both, and immediately 1/3 of the country will believe them. Another third will take a couple more weeks to convince. GET OUT IN FRONT OF THAT. Yesterday.

You’re Lindsay Lohan and the Media are the Mean Girls. Alinsky them first or stay home and watch tv.

The Palinazation of Ted will start the instant he makes any kind of 2016 announcement. Hope he has a supreme quick reaction squad to suppress all the BS that will be spread about him.
