Shots were fired Saturday night outside the unoccupied home of Vice President Joe Biden in Delaware. Biden was not at home when the incident occurred, the Secret Service told reporters.
Speaking to CNN, Secret Service spokesman Robert Hoback said “a vehicle drove by the vice president's residence at a high rate of speed and fired multiple gun shots. This occurred on a public road outside the established security perimeter. The shots were heard by Secret Service personnel posted at the residence and a vehicle was observed by an agent leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.”
Biden and his wife Jill had been planning to spend the weekend at the Delaware house. Police are investigating if anyone familiar with the Bidens' schedules may have been involved in planning the shooting. Police are conducting a search outside the residence for evidence that could lead to the perpetrators.

I skimmed an article and I did not see where there any shots definitely shot AT his house.
There were reported shots fired in the reservoir area near his house.
My guess is was kids screwing around who did not even know it was where the VP lived.

The SOH would become president if they were both killed. The whole succession thing was settled in the late sixties thing, I believe. Cannot remember the amendment.

We all remember Ford being appointed when Agnew quit, and then moved up the bench when Nixon quit.
I think being appointed is the only way Clinton would become President.

When Nixon reigned, it took several months before Rockefeller was confirmed as VP during which time Speaker Carl Albert was next in line. Has the process changed since then?
A friend of mine lives very close to the Bidens’ property and said they have been having problems poachers in the area lately. She wasn’t concerned in the slightest when she heard the shots and doubts they were directed at anybody.
